Trixie's POV:
My head felt so heavy, as if the the earth, without the humans, animals, trees and fishes were placed over my head. Oh! How can I forget the supernaturals, minus them from the earth too.
A blonde girl laughing her head off came into my vision. Huh?
I looked around and found that I was in a room, more specifically in someone else's room and house with a blonde girl laughing at me for something.
"Um-" I tried to interrupt her laughing fit by straightening myself on the bed and leaning against the headrest. I couldn't make myself to get out of the bed, yet.
It worked. She stopped or possibly paused her laugh and looked at me.
"Oh! Your thoughts were funny." She giggled. What the? She can read minds too? Was she Edward's unknown sister or something?
Wait, wait the accent! Damn, it brought some unwanted memories back into my head. I had to shake my head violently to push out those thoughts about the man whom I used to call as my biological father.
"I'm sorry to laugh at you like that. But what you blabbered in sleep was funny." She went on.
Grrr, that accent was increasing the pressure on my head. It may explode soon.
"Did I sleep talk?" I dumbly asked her.
You're a genius, Trixie. Didn't bother to ask who the hell was she, rather ask about yourself? Pft, you're such a... such a..... Fill it up.
"Yeah, more like it. Something about your head being the earth or something." She giggled again and caused me headache with that accent. Since it was coming from a girl, I could stay still. If not I might have freaked out and gone mad with my nightmares' recap in my head.
"Who are you and why am I here? Am I kidnapped? Again?" I sighed, feeling exasperated on being kidnapped these many times. Am I even that popular or wealthy to get kidnapped on daily basis??
"Nope, you're safe here. I'm sorry. Rebekah." She leaned forward from her chair beside my bed with her hand stretched out for a shake. I held her hand after thinking of all possible scenarios which sounded so ridiculous in my head and shook hands with her.
"I'm Trixie." I said, pulling back from the handshake and leaning back. I didn't believe my head to be without any physical support, other than my own self. It may fall off.
"I know." She grinned. Huh? How? My face must have conveyed my confusion level.
"I'm Nik- um, I'm Elijah's sister." She said, swallowing some words.
"Oh! Cool. I had no idea that he had a sister." I gawked at her, figuring out already that she was one of the originals too. I felt so honoured.
She chuckled.
"Oh! But he doesn't have the accent?" I asked and recalled my encounters with him.
"He has too but a very mild one, you can hardly notice it." She got up from her chair.
Oh no! May be I was brought here to be killed. By her.
"Do you want something to eat or drink?" Just when I was being paranoid of her being my killer, she asked this question and made me relax.
"Um- why am I here? And how are you so sure that I'd be safe here? And is anyone after me?" I shot her with questions.
"Just calm down. Give me a minute. I'll get you something to eat and then will explain why you're here." With that she left the room.
I made myself comfier by pulling the sheets till my neck and took a second look at the room. I checked for my phone in my pocket.
How dumb? I'd left it back in my living room when I left to Jeremy's room. Duh.
"Tada." Rebekah returned with a pizza and a drink. I would eat anything. I was that hungry.
As I started taking bites on the pizza offered to me, she started.
"Well, I was on the way to your house and heard some noises. I was able to hear you guys talk. I figured out that Katherine bitch was attacking you. And I kicked open your door and grabbed her outside, though I couldn't stay inside your house since I wasn't invited. I knocked her out and threw her before coming to get you out of the house. Since you'd lost some blood you passed out." She smiled towards the end.
"Thanks a lot." I stopped midway from taking a bite and said, feeling so touched.
"No problem." She winked.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"11:30pm." She shrugged, looking up from her wristwatch.
"Whaaaat?" I couldn't keep my shock in check.
"It was already around 2pm when I got you out of your house and brought you here. You were passed out the whole drive here and when I fed you my blood, you refused to come out of the sleep but drank it anyway." She explained the time gap well.
"Oh, well." I continued stuffing the pizza slices into my mouth. I even offered her some and she took a piece.
"When am I going back to my house?" I asked once I was done with the pizza and the drink. I was full now.
"If you're not sleepy anymore, we can leave by 12 or 1am to your house." She said.
"It's too late, I guess. I shall ask my friends to come pick me up. You don't have to waste your time and energy. Get some sleep." She already looked a bit tired by babysitting me while I was sleeping or passed out.
"Not necessary. Elijah asked me to drop you off at the Salvatore boarding house. So, you're stuck with me and have no choice."
I nodded. May be she wasn't that tired after all!
We talked for awhile and she told me that she's going to my school from this year and would be joining us. I can't say that she was of my age or Elena's, she was an original, but she was gonna be in Elena's classes. Sad that I can't spend some time with her in classroom. She seemed cool.
Around 12:15am we decided to leave and got inside her car. I didn't feel sleepy at all and so was she. She was so lively.
Rebekah asked if I have a boyfriend, which I wasn't so sure at the moment, so I told her that I just broke up and was single. She was single too but was ready for a relationship. I was starting to get accustomed to this British accent and the dark memories faded away gradually.
Thanks Rebekah.
We got to the Salvatore boarding house. I pressed the door bell but no one answered. Rebekah insisted on barging in which I didn't appreciate one bit. But that's what actually happened. We barged in like rogues. And the door wasn't even locked on the inside.
The house was dark and no lights were turned on, so I stayed closer to her side and she held my hand protectively too. We got to the living room and from the faint light through the glass window, could see that no one was around. I think they were all sleeping but I highly doubted that with the way we barged in noisily.
"I'll sleep on this couch. Thanks for dropping me." I said to Rebekah.
She chuckled. Huh?
"Trixie?" I heard a voice and froze in my place and held on to Rebekah with all my might. It was neither of the Salvatore brother's voices.
"Did you hear that too? Or am I imagining stuffs?" I whispered to her.
"I heard it too." She said, rubbing my back. I started to shiver in fear.
"Happy birthday." The same voice was heard and I went into panic attack.
It can't be him.
