Chapter 31

💀💀Nico's pov💀💀

I picked up the phone wondering what happened with Cody.
"Hello?" I asked

"Hello mr.di Angelo, Cody got in a fight and got hurt, could you pick him up?" Mrs.Horan said through the phone

"Of course, we're on our way," I hung up the phone
I turned to Will

"Cody got in a fight, we have to go pick him up," I said

We were walking back to Cody's school and inside to get him.
we walked into the office and asked for Cody, and walked into the sick room where Cody was sitting and we rushed over to him.

"What happened!" Will asked examining all of his cuts and bruises.

"Well, I was eating lunch with my friend Layla, and all of a sudden this guy walks up to me that everybody seemed to to know but me, and attacked me. He turned into a monster, I don't what type, but he was freaky. Layla ran to get the teacher on duty with fear in her eyes. I don't have a weapon like you guys so I just kind of avoided him and kept him away from the other students until the teacher, who didn't seem to see that he was a monster, grabbed him and brought him to the office where he got suspended," Cody said and I laughed silently thinking about a monster being suspended.
"Are you okay?" Will asked
"What hurts?"

"Um, at one point he grabbed me and threw me into the wall and I heard something crack, which hurt like a bitch, but I haven't thought about it until now," Cody said as Will grabbed some ambrosia from his bag and passed it to him which he took gratefully. As he ate the delicious medicine he stood up with us and winced
"I think I found what I broke," he says holding his hand on where his rib cage was.
We walked out of the back and back to the secretary

"We're going to go take Cody to the hospital, I think he has broken ribs," Will said to the secretary
She nodded and we left.

"We're not going to the hospital," Will said when we were out of the school

"Why not?" Cody asked

"What if they take you're blood and see you're half Greek god? What would happen then? And it doesn't matter, we have a doctor,"

"Who?"

"Me!" Will said excitedly

"Oh ya I forgot, you're the head healer, right?" Cody said

"Yup," he said popping the "p"

We walked for a bit longer until Cody yelped in pain and fell on to the ground holding his rib cage, which caused a few stares
"Nico help me," Will said trying to help Cody up. I knelt down beside them and slung Cody's arm over my shoulder as Will did and we life's him up
"Over there," Will pointed to a ally way that was dark and secluded
We walked over there with Cody and when we were in there we placed him down on the ground
Cody groaned in pain

"This is a whole new type of pain," he complained with his eyes closed

"We're going to have to do this now," Will mumbled searching through his bag. That thing had everything!
He brought out a water bottle full of nectar and passed it to Cody who sipped it slowly.

"Ok this may hurt in the beginning so be aware," Will said lifting Cody's shirt up
Cody squeezed his eyes shut as Will pressed his hands to the wound to heal it

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow," Cody muttered quietly
Once Cody's ribs were partially healed Will wrapped some bandages around it and to a couple other cuts here and there.

I helped Cody up as Will packed his bag up again.
We walked home talking about what would happen next.
