Okay, it's just an idea I had and I'll probably do it in a series but they won't be back to back or anything like that. They'll probably be spread out :D

"Left. They... yes, yes, yes they're fine now and... no, or course not... stop worrying."
The owner of the orphanage's voice floated out through the open door, making Lukas flinch, giving his brother's hand an affectionate squeeze. Emil was three years younger than him and completely in the dark about their whole situation. It wasn't fair on him, being thrown into this place with the appearance of a face lifted prison and the name that no one could spell.
The owner came through to the hall and glanced at them, sitting on the two of the three blue, plastic chairs outside the office. Neither of them had caught her name so in his head, Lukas referred to her as 'Ms Who' or just 'Who'.
"Okay" she said, smiling brightly. "I'll show you to your room, bring your suitcases. You have about an hour before the others come back from school. I know it's not nearly long enough but they usually stay out for a while on Fridays so you might get lucky." She started from her office and marched up the stairs by the wide front door. The home was big, a mansion compared to what Lukas and Emil were used to but then again, that wasn't really hard. There were at four living rooms downstairs and at least ten decent sized bedrooms, a couple leading onto each other, all with their own bathrooms. It seemed empty with there being only the three of them there and a cat that belonged to one of the other children.
"I'm afraid you'll be sharing" Who said not turning to them but reaching the upstairs hall and waiting for Emil who was slow and lagged behind on account of his asthma. "We always seem to be short on space and most families are put in the same room together. Yours is a decent size but quite a bit smaller than the others as there are only two of you."
"That's fine" Lukas said, glancing down at Emil who was dragging his favourite toy Mr Puffin along the floor and had a glazed look in his eye, like he was in a world of his own. He did that a lot, just complained when Lukas started talking to people he couldn't see. How was it his fault he couldn't see them?
Who opened a door at the end of the hall and peered at them as they set cases on the twin beds inside, Emil claiming the one next to the window. "Will you be okay? Sorry I have to leave you so suddenly, I just have so much paperwork to sort out." Lukas nodded. "Okay. Give us a shout if you need anything yeah?"
Almost the second her footsteps had subsided, Emil went as though to follow her.
"Where are you going?" Lukas asked as he put his hand on the door handle.
"She said we could ask her for anything we wanted to" Emil said. "So I'm going to ask her when mum and dad are coming to pick us up. No one's told me why we're here yet and I don't like it. When are they coming?"
Lukas sighed. "See that's the thing. Mum and dad aren't coming. They can't take care of us anymore There's too little money, too little to look after just the two of them. We can be looked after properly here."
"But they're not dead" Emil frowned. "So they can still come and get us right? I mean, if we ask her. They can still come and take us home right? Lukas?"
"This is home now" Lukas muttered. "And this is how it's going to stay. You never know, they may come and visit." It was wishful thinking. It wouldn't happen in a million years. If they could afford a train ticket then they wouldn't be here in the first place. It had been the council that had funded for just the two of them to come down and they were on children's tickets. But it didn't matter anyway, because Emil shrugged, taking his hand off the handle and going to stare out of the window.
Half an hour later, he opened it and pointed out. "Hey, is that the sea?"
The glistening blue strip was a mystery to both of them.
"Is there a beach? Can we go? Can we?"
Lukas shrugged and kicked his now empty case under his bed. "I dunno. I mean, I've never been either but..."
"Do you think there's rock pools?" Emil interrupted. "Or cliffs we can climb? Do you think there'll be starfish in the rock pools? Or sea horses? Or fish? Or... or... or... will there be sharks in the water?" It was sad really, ten years old and didn't know what a beach was, didn't know what the sea was like.
Then again, it was worse, him being thirteen, nearly fourteen and never seen a beach, never seen the sea. Lukas joined him at the window and grinned at the strip. "Maybe."

The Crap Hetalia Book
RandomOkay so, as you've probably already guessed from the title, this is going to be bad. Really, bad. I apologise now for my bad writing and anything else but... hey, why not have a Hetalia Book? Hetalia is life :D
