Across the Street

Why is Dani running away from us? We stopped after she went into the forest. We'll never know where she is now. I mean she could be anywhere in that forest or worst someone kidnapped her. The forest is really dangerous. "What do we do now?" I mean she jumped off the window into the trampoline causing us to do the same (Which may I add was really hard, but with my gymnastics~Eh.) and run after her. 

"We could go into the forest." Lauren answered. 

"And get kidnapped." Amy said glaring at her. 

"She wouldn't go that far. By the looks she was really tired." Mike made a point.

I started making my way across the street. I just hope the others back in the house are OK. I finally made it to the other side of the rode. I looked back and see them not wanting to go into the dangers of the wood, but if it's to find my baby sister. May I enter the woods. 

I went into the forest full of crumbling leaves. It wasn't too cold, but it was hot. I was warm. I only had a hoodie so my neck was forced to bare with the wind. I looked around, but I don't have my glasses or my contact so I'm basically got the eye of a animal who can't see very well. Like a llama. 

"DANI?!" I shout hoping to get some sort of response, but the only response are birds flapping away from the tree above me causing the leaves to sprinkle all over me. Speaking of sprinkle I gotta pee. Ooh. I really need to go, but Dani's more important. "DANI?!" 

I hear someone running. I look around. No one. I hear it again. I looked and see Mike, Amy, and Lauren. "What are you doing here?" "Now I can't let my baby sister go into the forest alone now can I?" Mike said all proudly. That's a word, I guarentee it. 

I rolled my eyes to his comment and we kept walking. "I screamed Dani's name twice and all I hear are footsteps...Which are yours." I sighed. We're now in an open space where there's no trees, but surrounded by trees. Its a circle. 

There's 2 ways, but which one to go to? 

"Which one?!" I yelled in stress. 

"Me and Amy will go this way" Mike said pointing to the left road. "And you and Lauren go this way." The right. I looked at Lauren and I see fear. I mean that makes sense. Part of her is missing. Sugar and Spice. 

"Lauren. We'll find her." 

"But what if we don't? We lost her so many times." She looked down. 

"But we found her many times too now didn't we?" Mike and Amy already left for their adventure. Lauren nodded and we started walking.

I just hope we find Dani. 

~                 ~                       ~                          ~ Sometime later.

"UHHHhhhhhhhhHHH." Lauren groaned as we kept walking. It's been 2 hours and no sign of Dani. Mike said he would text me. I have my phone, but it's 50% which isn't very much. 

"Lauren don't you want to find her?" I know it's tiring, but I thought she loved Dani.

"Yeah, but my legs are aching."

"Mine aren't" 

"Your a gymnast!" 

"True." 

"Ughhhhh" She groaned again. 

I rolled my eyes. "C'mon" I pushed her back a little. We kept walking until we sat some solid thing,, It's not a rock so we walked closer to see what it was and it was cat litter. "Eww." We both shuddered. 

"Wait, do cats live in the forest?" Lauren asked me.

"Probably not." I don't really know actually, but I never know cats do live here. I examined it and see it has cat food. "Laur do you see cat food in the poop that's not digested." Lauren leaned in. 

"Yeah. It's cat food alright." 

"I think it's Amy."

"I don't think Amy would poop here since she's on the opposite road." 

"Our cat Amy, genius." I would roll my eyes, but I've done that too many times.

"Do you think our siblings back at home in hostage are OK?" 

I sighed. "Hopefully." I cracked a smile. She returned it.

We kept walking until we spotted the big circle again. And Mike and Amy. 

"We walked in a circle!" We all said and then groaned. 

That wasn't worth it.
