"Don't take him back." I sighed as I swirled my fry in the ketchup.

"Why would I not?!" She exclaimed, furiously typing into her phone.

"Because, he wouldn't have taken you back after a day of breaking up with you. And anyway, it's sketchy how he suddenly wants you back after it was his stupid idea to end it." I ranted.

They all looked at me, shocked at what had come out of my mouth. Shrugging, I continued eating my food.

--

Tony: yeah. I'm here.

Me: where exactly?

Tony: in the parking lot. Do you want me to come in to pick you up? :)

Me: um, yes please. Everyone else left.

He always found a way to put a smiley face in a text. No matter what were talking about, we've never had a text conversation without one.

I placed my phone back into my backpack and stared out the glass doors.

The mall probably didn't think about how easy it would be to break through the glass doors if someone wanted to. Then again, no one really did stuff like that.

"You ready?" Tony asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah. Lets go." I replied, shaking my head.

We walked to his car and hopped in quickly, saving ourselves from the heat.

"I didn't turn off the AC because it's burning out there." He said as he backed out of the parking space.

"That's why it's so cool in here." I smiled as I stared out the window.

It was silent for most of the ride. The only thing filling the car was the sound of my phone vibrating and Tony's hum.

He would always hum while driving. I don't know if he noticed, but I seem to notice all the time. It's usually a different song every time. This time, it was Holy Grail. I found it cute how he would hum. Although, it's so quiet that you won't notice unless you listened carefully.

"My moms wedding is coming up." He croaked as he glanced at me, then back at the road.

"Oh yeah? Sounds like it'd be a good time." I replied as I look at him, "are you excited?"

"I've lived with my mom and my stepdad for a while. I guess nothing will change except for the fact that they'll have rings." He shrugged.

"I think marriage is more than that." I whispered.
