I nodded my head before trying to mask the smile that had been planted on my face.

As much as my inner self was screaming yes, I just couldn't get it out. I looked at him, and nodded my head quickly.

He dipped his head down and pressed his lips against mine. A smile formed on his lips as he did so.

The thunder crashed, and the lightning hit, causing the room to light up for a split second.

He pulled back, the smile still on his face.

The candle illuminated his features, making him look ridiculous.

I let out a small laugh as I look at him. "You look weird."

"Do I?" He asked, making a funny face.

"Very." I laughed as I pulled him into a hug.

I rested my head on his chest as we laid down on the bed.

"I really like your basement... I remember the first time I was here." As he let out a laugh, my head went up and down.

"Do you really remember?" I asked.

"Yes," He nodded. "You had that sleepover with your friends or something... And I came down and they questioned me."

"Right..." I smiled in agreement.

He played with my hair as the thunder crashed once more.

"It's moments like this that make me wish that this rain would last forever." He whispered.

I smiled, wrapping my arms around him.

---

After the rain stopped, Tony made his way back home to help his mom with things.

I began typing up a storm. Although it wasn't for school, but merely advice for an friend, I still though of it as important.

My phone began vibrating. I stopped typing mid sentence to answer the call.

"Hello?" I said as I put my phone on speaker.

I began typing again.

"Brooke?" Callie said.

"What?"

"I'm upset."

"Why?" I stopped typing and focused my attention on the phone.

"Your perfect boyfriend," she emphasized the word perfect, "beat up my boyfriend."

"He didn't beat him up."

"So are you calling me a liar?" She snapped,

"I never said that. I just said that Tony didn't beat him up. From what I heard, it was a singular punch." My voice slowly started to rise.

"Well, you heard wrong. I see Evan right now and a singular punch couldn't have done such damage."

"Well, maybe someone else beat him up because I know for a fact that Tony didn't!"

"You're so hung up on Tony! Accept the fact that he hasn't changed! He's the same stupid guy that lived in... Wherever! He'll never change! Some people just don't!" Her voice sounded hesitant and nervous as she stopped talking.

"Are you really standing up for Evan?" I barked.

"Yes! And you should get your excuse for a boyfriend to apologize!"

"Okay, you want him to apologize? I'll apologize for him! Sorry that you're boyfriend is cheating on you! Sorry he doesn't love you! Sorry!" I said quickly.

I regretted what I had said once it came out of my mouth.

The other line was silent. There was a sniffle before the line went dead.

TONYS POV

"So are you sure you'll be able to drive here and back in 20 minutes?" My mom asked for about the hundredth time.

"Yes." I repeated.

"Good." She nervously paced.

The hall that we were in was huge. Although, I think once the tables and stuff come, it'll look average size.

"I'm excited for this," my mom smiled.

I nodded my head, staring at my phone.

"I can't believe it has come so quickly..."

"Well." I shrugged as I looked up from my phone.

She gave me a concerned look before taking a seat beside me on the ground.

"Does this marriage thing make you uncomfortable?" My mom asked kindly.

"No.. I just don't see it as a big deal. Then again, I am only 17."

"Do you like your step father?"

"He's almost never home so, yeah I guess." I shrugged.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"I know there is something wrong... What is it?" She repeated.

"I just... It's not relevant to me yet. I don't see it as a big important thing. It's two rings and a price of paper."

"There's something in between that though... Love."

"Of course." I rolled my eyes.

"Do you love Brooke?" She said abruptly.

"I- well-" I stuttered as I thought for an answer.

"Well?"

"I just don't see myself marrying her... Or anyone in that matter. I haven't looked that ahead in my future." I sighed.

I could imagine a wedding so big and grand, but I couldn't imagine it being for me and my significant other.

"You know you love her." She smirked.

A small smile appeared on my face.

"She's something special, isn't she?" My mom smiled, "I like that one."

"It's continent how she lives so close." I smiled.

"It's a shame..." My mom shook her head, "it's a shame that they're leaving... Amazing people... I can't think of any neighbors that have been better to us.."

"Moving?"

"Yes. Her father was talking about it when he came over the other night. Maybe by next month they'll be out."

"She never told me."

"She hasn't told anyone, even her friends.. Well that's what her father said." My moms eyes grew big as she finished talking. "I wasn't supposed to tell you that."

"Too late now." I said as I stood up and dialed Brooke's number.
