As the three of you entered you saw Vaati in plain sight sitting in the center of the puzzle muttering angrily to himself, probably trying to figure out how it works after all it takes skill to solve advanced Sheikah puzzles like this one. "Hey Vaati," I laughed, "We're here so you don't have to worry about solving the puzzle anymore. I'm just going to do it alright."

"Sure," he replied sarcastically, "Of course you know how to do it. Adraphine{1} probably taught you how to solve this one when you were an infant."

"Yeah my mom taught me a few tricks," I snarled back not wanting to bother with him at the moment, "You two and Vaati go wait in the corner. This will take my full concentration so I cannot be interrupted at any cost. Okay? Besides fire it's not really safe with how I have to use it anyways."

"Got it my angel." Shadow laughed pecking my cheek before carrying Vaati into the furthest corner nervously, "Hey Vio you coming? We don't have all day after all."

I knew that Shadow wasn't the biggest fan of fire, but it was the only thing that we can use to solve the puzzle smiling at him I mouthed a silent, 'don't worry it wont get near you over there'. Turning to my left I saw Vio just standing still in front of me. "Hey are you alright Vio?" I asked poking him gently to get his attention.

"huh? Oh yes I'm fine it's just...." He paused for a moment then asked curiously, "How exactly do you plan to enter? I know how this puzzle works, you have to have each and every torch lit at once. In that other time-line I was in you know the one that had that 'Sheik' person or fraud as you call him."

"Yeah." I said not wanting to get back on the 'I'm actually the hero of time ' bullshit train again, "What of it?"

He paused for a moment knowing that I would never believe him about that, "When I had to face the trials in here, or as it's more known as the Shadow Temple. The way to open this first door was... Well I used an object called Din's fire from a great fairy to light all of them. And I'm sort of wondering how you're going to do so with out it."

"You'll see." I laughed harshly, "Go wait with the other two." Shoving him towards them I picked up a deku stick, and once I was sure that he was a safe distance away I began the process. Striking the stick on the floor to light it I quickly flipped onto the central platform and began to spin faster, and faster until there was a clearly visible ring of fire around me{2}. Then much to the boys' shock I leapt off the platform spinning around the torches ignoring Vio's screams of horror and Shadow laughing and cheering me on despite his fear of the flames. As my spinning grew faster the ring of fire became larger, once I knew the time was right I leapt onto the platform and stopped causing the ring of fire surrounding me to go out towards the torches lighting all of them fading after it left the circle of torches. As I got down from the central platform I heard the boys clapping for my performance.

Shadow stood first to walk over to me, "(Y/n) that was unbelievable!"

"Indeed it seemed that way Shadow," Vaati replied walking towards the first entrance, "But as we've just seen it we can believe it."

Vio stared at me for a moment in disbelief before saying, "How did that work exactly? I mean I've never seen anyone do that with fire before..."

"Uhm....I'll tell you another time Vio," I said sheepishly like Shadow does when he's in an akward situation, "We don't have much time anymore to plainly discuss little things. Let's just go inside this is the easiest part, from here on it just gets harder."

"Okay." he said watching the other two walk calmly into the temple. As we entered the door slammed shut behind us, "AH! (Y/n) was that supposed to happen?"

Sighing I told Vio, "Yes it is. The first door has that puzzle to keep people out, and intruders in. Also I thought you said 'I've been in here before'." He stared at me silently then smiled and casually walked away like I hadn't just embarrassed him.

Shadow shrugged off Vio's behavior before saying, "Look at it this way we know that (Y/n) will be able to get us out."

As we reached the next area of the temple Vaati grumbled, "Okay now what? There's a large hole in the floor here."

"This one's easier than the first one." I said calmly jumping over the gap ignoring Vaati and Vio's screams of shock. "Shadow!" I shouted, "Toss me the rope from our bag."

As he took the bag from Vio I watched him grab the rope Bethany had given us for 'just in case' reasons like this, "Okay my angel here it comes!" Shadow shouted as the rope flew quickly over the gap, and right before it reached me it began to lose height and fall into the gap, "(Y/n) the rope!"

Acting on impulse I locked my knees in place and bent backwards over the gap barely catching the rope, as I flipped back upright I could feel my heart pounding in my chest over the boys' panicked shouts of terror thinking I'd fallen into that abyss. "I'm okay!" I shouted to the boys waving the hand holding the rope. As I heard their sighs of relief in the sudden silence I tied the rope down making sure the know was secure I looked up and told the boys' in the calmest tone I could manage, "Back up I'm coming back over."

"Got it!" Fire eyes shouted pushing the other two back so I'd have room to land. As I leapt up to bridge the gap I knew that my jump had been too low and Shadow realized it to, as I began to fall I impulsively screamed in terror knowing that once someone fell into this area they were gone forever. Closing my eyes I clung tightly onto the rope not wanting to accept this fate then through the darkness I heard a shout of, "(Y/N) HANG ON!"

"Shadow," I muttered keeping my eyes tightly shut remembering that he could fly{3},"Please be careful."

As I felt him grab me I opened my eyes to see his eyes filled with love and concern, "Don't worry it's okay. I'm here now and I wont let something like that happen again." Hearing Shadow's feet touch down on the ground I climbed down my heart pounding even faster as I tied the rope down on this side.

"O-okay," I said shakily standing up, "w-we should all be able to get a-across now."

"Are you alright (Y/n)?" Vio asked obviously concerned about me and how badly I was shaking.

"Y-y-yeah," I laughed trying to forget the fear that had consumed me when I fell, "First time it's ever happened though. The rope held me back a little, t-that's all."

"Vio leave it be." Shadow sternly said taking my shaking hand in his{4}, "You and Vaati use the rope. I'm not having her go across that gap after almost falling into it."

"Good idea Shadow we shouldn't traumatize her after all." Vaati said crossing the rope carefully, but I could tell from his tone of voice that he was concerned too.

As Vio began to cross Shadow picked me back up and whispered in my ear, "Don't worry everything will be okay I'm here for you (Y/n). I promise that no harm will come to you."

"I know." I muttered burying my face in his chest not wanting to look down at all.

Before I even realized it we'd made it to the other side whispering in my ear Shadow told me, "It's okay. We're here now, you can open your eyes."

Opening my eyes I saw all three boys smiling at me even Vaati and before I even realized it I told them all, "I'm sure that will be the least of our worries it only gets more dangerous from here."
