Shadow's pov
I stared at him silently debating my choices in this situation, I could try and escape from him or I could..."Hey dumbass!" Dark's snide shout snapped me out of my thoughts.
"What?" I groaned while rolling my eyes slightly giving him a silent equivalent of I don't care.
"Do you even know what that flame did to you, Shadow? After all you were dumb enough to touch it." I could hear the joy in his voice smiling he tilted his head then laughed coldly, "Wow you really know nothing about your own people do you." I spat at his feet not wanting to answer the question, and I 'd wanted (Y/n) to know about that first not him. Grabbing me by the hair Dark made me face him and snarled, "Answer me."
Laughing I told him, "We both know that I'm not goin' to answer you."
He looked down at me then shrugged, "Guess you just don't care about (Y/n) then, after all she is-"
I cut him off and snarled viciously, "You leave 'r out of this!!" Sighing Dark grabbed me by the rope he'd put around me before and drug me on the ground as he walked. "You aren't goin' to get anywhere with me tryin to get info like that."
Growling he said, "I'm taking you to the boss, at least you'll answer him." I swallowed what I was about to say and stared at him in horror.
Your pov
The most trouble we'd had since the incident earlier was Vaati's cape getting stuck on the side of a guillotine causing him to go up and down with it while I watched and laughed rather than help Vio as he attempted to help him down. It had been at least an hour or two since Dark took Shadow, a very gloomy (?0 for me and the others alike. It was really a pity how easy it was to lose track of time in here. Finally we had reached the boat. "Vaati, Vio if you want to turn back and leave you still can. I won't judge you for it." I stayed silent waiting for their responses to my sudden change in attitude about the temple.
"(Y/n)," Vio placed a hand on my shoulder and turned me to face him like Link'd done months ago, "I don't plan on giving up. Nor will I ever, besides it's more fun solving the puzzles together."
Vaati looked at the boat and shuddered as we both ignored Vio's comment on the puzzles, "(Y/n) I'm going to tell you something important. Though you might not want to know it, I think you should."
"...What is it?" I sighed facing the grim looking bird heading the boat ignoring his more unusual than normal behavior just like we'd both just done to Vio.
He took a breath then told me calmly, "Your mother Adraphine, before she died was leading the Sheikah. And by the laws written in that book of yours, the firstborn of the last leader is given the right to rule if anything ever happens to them. As well as that they-"
I cut him off with a hard slap to the face, "Shut up now! I don't want to hear it Vaati!" Vio stared at me in awe before silently grabbing our bags then pulling out my book, no the only thing of my parents I had left. "Don't touch that!" I cried out quickly turning and reaching for the book.
He handed it to me before saying, "This book must mean a lot to you, huh (Y/n)."
With that one comment I'd had enough ignoring the boys surprized shouts as I got on the boat without them, and played the song required to move the boat. "I've had enough." I said as the bells in the hands of the boat began to chime causing it to shake for a moment then begin moving forwards, "Not only is Shadow not with us, but you've been reading the only thing I have left of my parents Vaati. I can do the rest on my own." By the time it'd hit the boys that I planned on doing the rest of this alone it was to late for them to get on the boat.
"(Y/n) this is a fools mission if you do it alone!" Called Vaati chasing after the boat despite his hate of running.
I turned away ignoring him preparing to fight the twin stalfos guardians of the boat. After done fighting them I quickly leapt off of the boat before it sank and returned to the starting point. Sighing I looked across the gap to the door looking around to make sure nothing was there I leapt across, then to make sure the boys couldn't follow me I placed a bomb on the only way to get over if you weren't a sheikah. As the boat arrived with the two of them I turned away and walked into the door in front of me alone.
"(Y/N)!" I didn't know who or what called my name, but I knew that I had to do this for all of us. Clutching the leather bound book I went to solve the next test of truth alone.
