"What do you mean by 'I know where Shadow is' (Y/n)?" Vaati asked as we all went into that room with the hole in the floor, "All we saw was Dark drag him up into the ceiling with a rope."
I sat on the edge of the pit allowing my legs to dangle down inside of it think about if I should tell them or not. Making my decision I took a breath, "Well...Before you two got here, I encountered Dark in that other room..."
Vio went into a slight panic from what I said, "How long ago was this? Did he hurt you?"
Sighing Vaati told him, "I'm sure he did't do anything. She is here with us after all, so could you tell us where he is (Y/n)?"
"Yeah sure," I said staring absent-mindedly into the pit, "Dark took him back to the Palace of Winds."
"WHAT!"
"WAS{1}!"
The two shouted different things ignoring the fact that Vio's response was weird I glared at them, "I'm kidding you two! Why would I joke about something so important!?!" Frustrated with the two I curled both of my hands into fists, "Look when I asked about Shadow the only answer I got was 'Speaking with the boss' I believe he was referring to you father Guufu Vaati."
"For the love of-I take it he told you his title, at least in modern Hylian anyways." Vaati told me solemnly, "Though in the form of old hylian that both he and Ezlo originally knew that wasn't you-know{2} it's the same as mine."
"hmm..." The two boys' watched me as I stood and began to pace the room, "Now that I think about it that name sounds really familiar, but his name sounds really unpleasant."
Vio sat down where I'd been before then asked thankfully in Hylian{3}, "Hey (Y/n) to get to that place you keep saying that you have to go to, you just go down this hole right?"
Looking at him I sighed, "Yeah we do. Hey Vaati," I turned to face Vaati who had his hair brushed away from the right side of his face where it usually was but put it back when he saw me looking, "Okay then. Do you think that you could make a wind or something to help us get down safer? It's pretty damn long way down and one of us could get hurt if you don't."
"Sure whatever (Y/n), Vio come here." He gestured a hand towards him giving me what looked like an almost smile letting me know what we were going to do.
"What is it Vaati?" He asked looking around, "Is there a prob- SHIT!" Vaati and I both grinned as we pushed Vio into the pit, then leapt in after him.
With the wind cradling us as we fell into the pit I laughed, "Sorry Vio."
"It's alright (Y/n), but why did the two of you shove me in?" He asked.
"You know why I did it." sighed Vaati watching for the bottom, "And I had (Y/n) help to cheer her up a little."
Vio looked at me then back at Vaati, "Well I'm glad I could help I guess."
"We're almost there," I told the two looking down, "after I finish what I need to we can leave."
"I take it you're planning to try and save Shadow after this?" Vaati asked forming a wind cushion over the drum beneath us, "What is this?" he gestured at the drum we were now standing on.
Sighing I looked around, "It's nothing important, really." Seeing a small barely visible golden thread I followed it to a crack in the wall, "Hey Vio could you bring me my book?"
Vio gave my a questioning look, "Okay...But I thought you did't want either of us two to touch it."
"It's alright for now." I said tying my hair back up with the ribbon and pulling my ring off. Slowly I traced around the area with my finger double checking if this was indeed the right one, "Thanks." I said taking the book and opening it to the page I usually avoided, the last one they'd ever added to it so every Sheikah with access to the book could do this. Ignoring the brown spots of dried blood scattered across the page I found the right paragraph. "Vio could you come back over here for a sec?".
