115. Black and Blue: Write about a time you've been physically hurt.
There is a girl in the corner, and she has tears in her eyes because she has bruises.
Two types of hurts afflict her: one is outer, and will heal and fade in time. The other in inner, and it is a lucky one indeed whose hurts of the latter kind not only heal, but fade from memory.
She suffers from both. The etched grooves of pain in her heart are a product of the lines of purple snaking in floral patterns across her skin. She is in the fresh moment of pain, and she does not scream, because she is not the one to be loud. She is loud on the inside. Her agony is not expelled; it is collected.
She has been hit.
Why? Because she was there, and has always been there. Hitting her will not drive her away. She has no place better, so she stays.
She needs medical attention, but instead, she walks away from the fountain and tbose gathering up a collection for her, and she goes on alone.
