88. Natural Wonders of the World: Choose one of the natural wonders of the world. Write about it.
"Why did you want to climb Mount Everest?"
"Because it is there."
- George Leigh Mallory
*
Man exists to conquer.
What would Man do with no challenges?
Waste in nonexistence.
If there is something not done, it is the desire of Man to do it.
The tallest mountain in the world...
So easy to die...
Challenge accepted.

There is nothing more attractive than dedication. Without a purpose, you drift aimlessly, and while some people like driftwood, it is not the smooth, healthy, living, life-giving tree anymore. Purpose gives life.
*
A man wanted to climb Mount Everest. Why?
*
Because he wanted to.
He wanted his name in the history books.
He wanted to make the journey.
He wanted to conquer.
He wanted to see the view.
*
He risked everything he had on earth, because he tempted death. And for what? For fame and glory?
*
Exactly so.
When we burn so quickly, we want to scorch the pages of life with our flames.
When we exist for a mere moment, we want to make it a moment.
*
We are still remembering some moments.
Aristotle made moments.
Alexander the Great made moments.
John Wilkes Booth made moments.
We remember them because they stand out.
How many of us stand out?
*
Geore Leigh Mallory saw a mountain that hadn't been climbed.
He saw a mountain that hadn't been conquered and said, "I shall be the one to do it."
And he did.
Not because ot demanded to be climbed, but because he demanded to climb it.
