It had been almost a month since Rowen had last laid eyes on Daniel's cousin. She could lie and say that she hadn't been thinking about him, but she had given up lying about it when he soon became the only thing she thought about.

She had spent the week after they had met arguing with herself about what she would do if she ran into him, she went over nearly every conversation she could think of, and they all had the same result.

She ended up leaving with him.

She hated herself for thinking about him, yet she couldn't stop herself. She often gave herself headaches with how badly she was fighting with herself. Yes she wanted him, yes she was angry for how he had claimed her without even knowing her name, yes the thought of him being possessive was a little bit of a turn on.

But what she couldn't seem to wrap her head around, was why.

Why was this all okay? Why did she think that this was a good thing?

Why, why, why?!

Pretty soon after their meeting, her relationship with Daniel started getting complicated. She was thinking about his cousin so much that she felt horrible when she had sex with Daniel. She felt like she was cheating, but she didn't know who she was cheating on.

Was she cheating on Daniel because she was thinking about his cousin?

Or was she cheating on the blue-eyed man because she was having sex with Daniel.

That was how messed up her head was. So she decided to end things with Daniel. He wasn't happy, well honestly he was straight out pissed. Rowen thought that she would be honest with him, after all they were friends also... well her honesty made things worse.

She had told Daniel that she was thinking too much about his cousin, and she didn't think it was fair on Daniel to keep seeing him while thinking about someone else. Daniel's reaction was less than pleasant. He had reacted like a jealous boyfriend, which just made things a lot easier for Rowen.

After a brief but heated argument about her being a whore and Rowen calling him a needle dick junkie, their friendship when down in flames. In amongst the name calling and screaming, Rowen reminded Daniel that he agreed to their relationship and the rules they had set in place. She also reminded him that he was never her boyfriend, just a friend that she fucked.

She had put an end to the fight by telling him he was pathetic and walking away. She hadn't seen Daniel in nearly three weeks. She wanted to say that she thought about him, but she didn't. She learnt long ago not to dwell on things, and with how they ended. Dwelling wouldn't do her any good.

So now she found herself sitting with a group of girls, listening while they bitched about their boyfriends, while she sipped on a girly fruity drink and rolled her eyes. She had even slightly dressed up for the occasion.

She had worn a pair of light brown pants, brown boots that reached her knee. Her top was white and she wore an oversized pendant necklace. Her hair was wavy and pinned away from her face with hidden clips. Her make up was light, just a bit of mascara to make her eyelashes look long, some pink on her cheeks and lips to give her some colour.

The girls were trying to get her input on what they should do about their boyfriends. Rowen gave them a blank look and shrugged. She had no idea, she had never been in a relationship so how was she supposed to give them advice.

Tessa, a girl Rowen had known most of her life, started to talk about her boyfriend Alex. They had been together for so long that no one really remembered when they started dating. Tessa didn't even remember. Alex and Tessa were a relationship of repetition. They were comfortable with each other, so they didn't see any reason to break-up. They had a boring relationship, a boring life together, and they were headed down a path that would lead to a boring marriage to one another.

"I don't understand why he wont do more." Tessa whined. Rowen sighed sipping the last of her drink.

"Break up with him." she said, setting her drink down. Anyone would have thought that Rowen just said to kill him with the looks she was getting.

"Not helpful Rowen!" Beth snapped. Rowen shrugged.

"I don't get any of you. You sit here and say that you basically hate the relationships your in, yet do nothing about it. You know it's not just up to the boys to do something right?" when she was met with blank looks she sighed. "If you want them to try something different in bed. Say something! They aren't mind readers!"

Needless to say after that, no one asked Rowen for advice.

Rowen grew bored with the conversation and started to watch the people around her. She liked doing it, seeing how other people interacted with others, weather they were drunk or sober, it didn't really matter. Someone was always either making a fool of themselves, or making a move on someone.

Rowen started to get a tingly feeling, the one that you got when you were being watched. Your bodies way of warning you of possible danger. So following her gut she scanned the area. She didn't bother with being subtle, they were already watching her so what difference would it make.

With her head snapping in different directions she caught Tessa's attention.

"You okay there Row?" she asked, genuinely conserned.

"Uh.. Sure, yeah. Just thought I saw someone is all." she smiled reassuringly to her friend, easing her worry.

Tessa went back to the conversation and Rowen started looking around again. She stopped looking in the room and decided to look out the ceiling high windows that viewed the smoking deck. She did a quick scan, and forced herself to calm down before looking again.

That's when she saw him.

His brown hair was pushed back away from his face, his tall muscular frame leaning against the railing. His blue eyes looked like they were glowing in the light, sending shivers down her spine. He looked so sexy, so... dangerous.

He had on dark blue jeans, a white V-neck t-shirt and a black leather jacket covering his impressive arms. He had on black biker boots and she noticed he had a pair of Ray Bans tucked into his white shirt collar.

He looked every inch the bad boy biker.

Rowen felt her insides melt when he smirked at her, she felt her cheeks heating up as she wondered just how long he had been watching her. Her head darting around like a demented rabbit searching for him.  Rowen felt herself start to tremble, in anticipation. Did he want her to go to him? Was he just being polite because he remembered her from before? Had he been thinking about her the same way she had been thinking about him?

Did he want her the way she wanted him?

His head tilted, his eyes flashing with something so devastatingly dark it had her rooted to the spot. Part of her petrified of going out there, the other drooling at the chance to be around him once more.

She couldn't move, her body wouldn't obey. She swallowed hard when he sent her a displeased look. It held promises of pain, and pleasure. And she wasn't sure which order he was going to do them in. She watched as he looked around the deck, looking for something. She cringed when he smiled almost evilly at her before walking towards a group of men and women standing in the corner.

Rowen watched as his longs legs ate up the distance, asking for a smoke she watched as he put it to his lip, letting one of the women light it for him.

Rowen knew what he was doing, and she wasn't doing a good job at containing herself. He was playing her, forcing her into a reaction that would have her outside where he could reach her. She knew it, knew that he wanted her to do something. And even knowing this didn't stop her.

She didn't say anything to the girls, she got up from her stool and walked outside, her boots clicking on the tiled floor. All she could see was red, her anger had done a good job at getting her to move.

Was it anger? Or jealousy?

She didn't really care what it was that made her move. All she cared about was stopping him from being touched by a woman that Rowen knew had two STD's. If he did anything with Denise, Rowen wouldn't touch him, even if he begged her.

Rowen didn't hear the door slam behind her, she didn't see the confused looks from the people standing near it. But she did however catch the satisfied smirk that graced his plump lips. She hated him for it, and she couldn't wait to see him smile properly.
