He was doing it again, and it was making her nervous.

Ever since they sort-of made up, Liam had been watching Rowen and it was making things awkward. She already felt that something wrong wrong with her, now with Liam watching her it made things seem worse.

She had started eating more, which wasn't always a bad thing, she always seemed to eat more when her period was due, but her period wasn't due. Her period never ran to a monthly schedule like every other woman, so missing its due date by a week or two wasn't something that bothered Rowen all that much.

But, if she knew Liam as much as she thought she did, he would have noticed the lack of 'women's issues'.

He would instantly think that she had been lying about her troubles with falling pregnant and think that she had only said that as a way to get him to go without a condom so she could get pregnant and tie him down.

Only, he wanted to be tied down to her, he had told her as much. Yet knowing that, it was still hard for Rowen to allow herself to move on from what had happened, only two weeks ago.

She had asked about Isaac, Liam was honest with her and told her that he was spying for Enzo. She was shocked that someone had gotten that close to her with the way they were locked down. And Liam promised her that it wouldn't happen again, he was screening everyone better than before.

She had seen how angry he was when he dragged Isaac away, that rage shimmered in his eyes for a few days after their talk and she was sure he had come back to the apartment more than once with someone else's blood on himself.

Liam had told her what Bennett had said, that Enzo was still after her and they had no idea why. She didn't either, but she also didn't think that she was the end game for Enzo. He had started this long before she became a fixed point in Liam's life.

Liam might not have noticed it when it was happening, but his father had been pushing him into dangerous situations blind for a long time. Even this trip had been too dangerous, if it wasn't for the way Liam had handled the other men involved, it could have cost him his life. And his father had to of known that.

With this new information, and new light on old information, Liam could start to understand the way that his father was thinking. Twisted or not, his father was after something and Rowen was sure it wasn't just her. But she couldn't figure out what Enzo needed her for. She wasn't anything special, she was just his girlfriend, and shakily at that at the moment. Enzo knew they were fighting, Isaac had made sure of that.

So why would Enzo let it be known that Rowen was part of his plan?

She didn't know, and she couldn't figure it out at the moment. She was hungry, and she needed to find something to eat to think properly. Which was why Rowen was looking in the fridge, trying to find something to eat... again.

"Are you sick?" Liam's voice startled her, making her jump.

"Jesus Liam!" she snapped. Heart racing in her chest.

"Are you sick?" he asked again, his eyes darting to her stomach.

Rowen looked down, her hand was resting on her lower abdomen making her internally cringe. So much for making him think she wasn't pregnant, this pose was a classic 'i'm pregnant' pose. Shaking her head she raised her hands in front of her.

"Liam, it's not what you think." she said warily.

"What I think... what I think, is that you're sick." he edged his way in, his eyes not giving anything away, like he was guarding himself from her.
