Liam and Carlos^^

Liam

He loved her.

He had said it, he told her he loved her.

Yet she still sobbed brokenly into his chest. He felt the tears falling down his own face, he didn't move to wipe them away, he didn't care what he looked like.

He hated himself. Instead of being here for her, supporting her like he should be. He left. He left her when she needed him the most. And what was worse was that he left her thinking that he was disgusted with her.

It wasn't her at all, he hated what his father had done to her. Seeing her face so bruised and knowing just what was done to her, was breaking his heart. He wanted to hurt someone like she was hurting. He wanted to break someone the way she had been broken.

He wanted to kill his father.

He wanted Marcos.

He had left with the intention of calming down. He didn't want to scare Rowen with how volatile he was feeling. He had wanted her to feel safe around him, he wanted her to feel loved.

It didn't take her being stolen from him for Liam to realise that he loved her, he knew he was falling, he had been ignoring it as best as he could, putting it off for a better time. That better time never came because she was taken, hurt... raped.

Thinking it had been done to her was very different to knowing it had been done. Hearing the doctor state the internal damage that Marcos and his father had inflicted on Rowen had made him sick.

He knew what it was like to want to hurt someone. He was in the Mob, it was an everyday occurrence that someone was hurt. But Liam also knew what it felt like to want to hurt someone like Rowen.

No, he didn't think of raping women. They would always consent. But hearing them whimper in pain, brought Liam to a higher level of pleasure.

Maybe he was sick like his father. Maybe this dark desire to inflict pain on women was something that his father had given him. But Liam couldn't see himself doing what his father had done. He never saw himself taking an innocent woman against her will. A little roughly perhaps. But never by force.

Did that make him any better? Did that change things knowing that the women he had been with had enjoyed the pain he gave them?

When he had met Rowen the darkness inside of him and instantly wanted her. He had waited in the shadows, watching her patiently with cunning eyes waiting for his turn. He knew that Rowen wasn't opposed to rough sex. That she enjoyed mixing a little pain with her pleasure.

But he never got to show her how good pain could be.

Now she had been raped things would be different. She would be different. Liam wasn't naïve enough to believe that Rowen would come out of this unscathed, that she could walk away from this whole and as she had been before.

She would be different. Scared. Possible scarred for life. She had been raped repeatedly and beaten. They had to test her for HIV and AIDS. They checked to see if he had left supermarket behind.

Liam had thought he same as Rowen, that he could have gotten her pregnant. And even knowing how hard it was for her to actually become pregnant didn't make things any easier for Liam.

Liam had tried hard to stay with her, he wanted to be by her side when she woke after receiving a sedative to calm her down. She wouldn't let him go, and while he didn't mind one bit, the doctor's wanted to check her over and they couldn't do it while she was clinging to him. So he had allowed the sedative.
