I giggle as his breath tickles the side of my neck. His breathing is heavy and almost erratic as he places kisses all along the length of my visible skin. "Tobias," I say breathless with a breathy laugh. "The initiates will be here any second."

"Let them," he murmurs against my skin, his breath warm. "I want everyone to know that you're mine."

I laugh, gripping onto his hair as he continues the kisses that turn me to jelly. I almost lose the function of my legs. My eyes close of their own accord.

"Is there a closet here or something?" he asks, desperately as I'm pinned against the wall. My breathing hitches in my throat

I chuckle, knowing that he's joking... I hope. "I don't know," I breathe.

"If you weren't so beautiful this wouldn't be a problem right now," he says with a grin.

I laugh and then opening my eyes as he peels away from me. That's when I see it. Jenna is at the window, her eyes confused.

"Tobias," I murmur, staring just beyond his head at the face in the window. I forgot I told her to meet us here early...

"Yes?" he says deeply as he looks down at me, his eyes filled to the brim with passion and love.

I tilt my head, gesturing to the person standing behind the door. He cringes when he sees the initiate in the window, his body stiffening. I bite my lip, looking up at him, "I told her to meet us here early and I totally forgot."

He nods. "I did too..." he trails off, glancing behind him. She smiles and waves, a little uncomfortably through the window.

With a huff, Tobias peels away from me and my cheeks redden as he approaches the door to let her inside. The door opens to reveal her knowing look with an amused grin. "How long were you standing there?" Tobias asks, his voice demanding and menacing.

"A minute or so," she answers, slightly nervous. Her expression is pallid and her hazel eyes darted nervously now. I instantly feel regret, knowing that his near-interrogation won't help ease her fright at being exposed as a Divergent.

I step up to her, realizing her struggle, but needing to make something clear. She could tell the others, which is something we've tried so hard to hide. Keep what's private, private. They don't need to know about my personal life, though sometimes I wish I could just shout it to the rooftops that I was in love with Tobias Eaton. Loving someone secretly was never the answer. If you truly loved someone, then let the world know. Because love is ten times as strong when it's vocal as well as emotional.

But that wasn't the case here. It wasn't a matter of hiding the fact we loved each other, it was a matter or believing it was for the best professionally to remain anonymous. But this plan we had did have many downfalls, like insecurity.

"Jenna, you must not-- under any circumstances-- tell the others," I stipulate, my face begging.

She nods, a lock of her light brown hair falling in front of her eye. "Wasn't planning on it," she says, her voice frail.

"Are you nervous?" I ask, steering the conversation away from what she had witnessed.

She takes a deep inhale, and shakes her head. "No," she says, her voice masked. I know she's pretending, it's obvious but I admire her bravery.

I then nod, turning toward Tobias, my lip being pulled inward by my teeth. "Let's get started," his cold voice states.

She sits in the chair and we quickly administer the serum. "What should I do?" she asks, waiting for the serum to sink in.

"You have to face everything the way a Dauntless would. Use your mind and pretend you're able to be someone else. Slow your heart rate and breathing," Four answers.

"I'm scared," she admits in a hushed voice. She doesn't need to be quiet; Four disabled all the video camera feed in the room so it would appear as if we were still setting up in the control room.

"Sometimes the best way to face your fears is with your eyes closed. Don't be afraid to be scared, it's natural. Just keep breathing and you'll get out of the simulations," I assure her.

Quickly, her eyes droop and she's inside. As we watch her fears on the monitor, Tobias turns to me and murmurs with a warm smile, "You're going to be a wonderful mom one day."

I blush, fluttering my eyes up at him. I want to have that with him one day, and I know we will. I see us growing grey together, having a family. I see a life with him and it's terrifying.

"I hope I will," I whisper, turning back to the screen. A fuzzy feeling warms my stomach as I know he's still staring at me.

— A/N —

Okay okay... I'm really busy and I know this is a crazy short (<1000 words which is like a new record for shortness) and horrible chapter, but I honestly have NO ideas left for this book other than the end. That's why it's taken so long for me to update...

Well I hope you enjoyed regardless of how short and sucky this was. My finals are quickly approaching as is summer... It's gonna be fun ;)

Have a great day <4
