NATHAN
She panted as she hid under the table as I sat with my elbows on the table and my chin was resting in my hands.
"So, I won?" I queried, laughing softly and waiting for her to reply.
She let out a harsh breath. "What the fuck, bakit sobrang bilis mo?" she complained as she placed her plate of food in a chair crouching underneath the table.
I picked the most attractive pastry and shoved it whole to my mouth. I inclined my head slightly to glance at her situation. "We'll dance later," I mumbled as I sipped a red juice I snatched from her.
I flinched when she intentionally slapped my leg. "Hey," I yelped as I brushed my palm on my stinging leg.
"Madaya ka talaga," she grumbled, punching my leg nonstop.
I laughed as I bent my body, grabbing her both hands to stop her punches. It hurts though, I glanced at a dark part of the square.
I grinned. "Nano, mas madaya ka," I said as I pulled her out of the table.
Mas madaya ka kahit kalian.
She frowned as she reached for her food. "Teka, ngayon na?" she asked as she tried to pack her maid pockets with food.
I couldn't help but be surprised—and amazed—since she's still the silly girl I knew. It seemed odd at first when she suddenly parted from us, like as if she suddenly lived in another world. Well not really since I also lived in that kind of dark world, but I thought she changed so much just because of that man.
"You can eat more later. You'll get heavier if you eat a lot right before we dance," I teased her, dragging her with me.
She raised a brow as she swallowed some bread. "Oh, tapos, connection sa sayaw. Asan doon?" she asked as she let me drag her.
"Uhm, you might crush my feet?" I jested.
I want more time to spend with you. I'm dying to dance to you, to be alone with you.
She guffawed and paused from biting her food. "Walang- kwenta ka talaga magjoke, letche," she commented, laughing loudly. Good thing that we were already farther from the crowd.
We walked over to the dim-lit light near to tall dark trees.
My heart almost jumped out of my mouth when she suddenly pulled me and danced me, holding both of my hands. She smiled widely with her whole teeth displaced. Even the music coming from the square wasn't befitting with romantic dance, I went along with her rhythm.
Romantic, huh? My delusions were eating me slowly as I spent my time with her tonight.
"Napanood ko 'to, eh," she mumbled as she observed her feet.
I chuckled as I looked at her feet. "What is it?" I asked as I glanced at her face that had no trace of sadness anymore.
"Ekis, Ekis," she trilled, crossing her feet and trying to stomp on my feet.
She giggled as she observed our feet. She turned into her usual kid like-nature.
"Beautiful..." I breathed.
Unfortunately, there was a couple or whatever, coupling on the bushes.
Ivan suddenly turned on the flashlight of her phone. "Sir, dito ba banda mo naiwala 'yung mamahaling relo mo?" she insinuated, glancing in the direction of the moving bushes.
"Yeah, stop dawdling and search for it," I exclaimed, playing along with her.
She winked at me. "Sir, kung maaari magpatulong tayo sa mga bodyguard mo. Madilim at malapad kasi dito," she explained as she grinned, pointing her flash on the bushes.
"Ivan."
My eyes darted to the man that called out her name sweetly that irritates me.
Again?
I smirked when he appeared again to interfere with us.
"Boss... Madam?"
My head glanced at the bushes when a man exclaimed like gay when he saw Ivan.
"Tyler?" Nano squealed, pointing her finger at the man who popped out of the bushes. "At linta?" she screamed when a familiar woman popped out too.
"Oh, my gawd!" Nano gasped in shock, looking at the couple that had a naughty play on the bushes.
"What's the meaning of this, Tia?" he said and seemed wounded, but sounding happy?
Now that I recognized that familiar woman. She was the want that kept on linking her arms to him.
"Babe, it's not like what you think. I don't know, l-like. It's an accident! Yes, it is!" she explained in panic, fixing herself.
Don't tell me?
I gritted my teeth when people started to crowd just to witness this scene. This demon used us?
"How could you, Tia," he faked. "If my maid didn't find this man's watch, I wouldn't discover your betrayal," he added. "On the day of our engagement," he continued.
I rolled my eyes because I couldn't bear to play with his theatre act.
"No!" The poor woman couldn't think straight to get her ass out of this set-up. "Damn, he seduced me!" she confessed, pointing at the man.
The people started to whispers and some began to bash her.
"Son, it would be nice to settle this privately," his father suddenly cut in.
I couldn't help but smile secretly. "Yes, father," he acted once more.
When the crowd dispersed. He snorted suddenly. "What the fuck, bitch?" he said in an undertone, but I think we could clearly hear it.
"Hey, I don't need a whore to be my public displayed wife that will eventually fucked my men," he stated, grinning like a demon that had acquired his perfect plots.
"Nice work, Tyler," he said, referring to the man. "See that stupid maid? She's my secret wife. Why I'm telling you this? You'll die later, anyway. R-I-P," he smugly said while glancing at me. "Don't worry, I'll pray for your soul," he mocked before he left.
I looked at Ivan who was still processing what had happened, staring at nothingness.
Fuck that demon.
