KRIS

It was like one of those days when I felt the immense fear, creeping inside my skin. Damn it, my arms were about to fall off my shoulder because of this sleeping moron.

"Hey, let's get out of the car," I whispered to Red as I crouched down on the back seat.

Currently, we went into blending in the woods when we sensed that there were suspicious scouts in the air. Red and I decided to stopover for a moment and wait, but it seemed that the scouts aren't just ordinary passer-by.

I frowned when I looked down and saw a grinning idiot. "He-he-he, Boss?" she greeted with a peace sign pressed on her forehead.

"You're up?" I asked and immediately dropped her. She grunted shortly and crouched beside me.

"They've been roaming around here. Let's get out of here before our deduction come true," Red calmly said and gave a signal to his men to move.

The cold breeze swirls around my ear as I carried Ivan and ran along with Red. It was rather disturbing that Jin hadn't contacted me. My gut tells me things went extremely wrong tonight.

The destination was so far-off, but I had to do everything to bring this moron to that rest house. This night should be a night I'll make her escape.

"Boss, anong meron?" she asked in a whisper. "Natulog lang ako tapos paggising ko nasa gubat na ako?" she queried, wrinkling her nose.

I fixed the way I carried her from bridal to a pack sack over my shoulder. I slapped her butt as I continued to run. "Keep quiet," I warned.

She yelped shortly as she held on to my neck. "Boss, may fun-run ba?" she asked, referring to Red's men running while keeping their formation.

I held her body tighter as I maintained being in the middle position when I heard an explosion coming from the direction where we left the cars.

"Wow, may pasabog!" she beamed. "Bagong taon na ba?" she queried, squirming in arms.

Red stopped suddenly and pulled out his gun. "Maniego, ikaw na bahala sa kapatid ko," he instructed.

I grimaced. "There's too many of them," I mentioned when I sensed moving people towards our direction.

"I know, just go," he replied and went to his position for an ambush.

I clicked my tongue. "You're too heroic, motherfucker. Don't die," I muttered and turned away from him.

"Anong meron kasi. Hindi ko gets—habol ka lang mamaya, Kuya," she said and I could feel that she was waving her hand.

It's time to go for us. Without wasting time, I continued running away with half of Red's men. A red flare shot up suddenly in the dark sky before loud gunshots rang non-stop.

Fuck, they have back-ups.

It was already dawn, it would be easier for them to spot us. Even we're moving in small numbers, their air scouts will only take short time to find us.

Damn, why these shits had to happen.

I cursed out when I just realized that they plant a trap in case someone tried to rescue me. Unfortunately for us, it was Red's side that rescued me and it gained more advantage for the other hungry wolves to join this.

So messy, fuck, fuck.

I paused suddenly when I felt preying eyes were locked on us. "Take cover!" I shouted and immediately slide down to a cliff.

Second, later a loud boom of bombs exploded. I glanced swiftly to check the men if there's someone wounded. Good thing, they were skilled and able to avoid it instantly. I put down Ivan, but her legs gave in.

I held her waist to support her. "Are you scared, moron?" I asked with a worried tone.

She groaned as she massaged her head. "Nasusuka ako dahil sa galaw mo," she complained.

I cackled and kissed her forehead. "Let's survive tonight, okay?" I whispered and hugged her body to mine after she nodded obediently.

"Let's move," I commanded and carried her again.

Fortunately, we were able to create a father distance from the chasers.

"Boss, nakatakas kana kaya hinahabol tayo?" she asked, but I had no time to answer her when I sensed two groups approaching us in a different direction.

"Fuck, they can track us!" I yelled.

How could they know unless someone had a planted device with him?

"Strip!" I ordered that they immediately complied without hesitation. "Just leave something to cover it," I said.

"Ako rin?" The moron dog asked that made my eyes darted on her.

"Why did you strip too?" I growled and stopped her from removing her shirt, but she already stripped her shorts. "Such a moron," I muttered.

"Let's move back!" I commanded and buried her in my arms like a small child.

"Bakit ang dami ng kalaban?" she mumbled, pinching my stomach. "Ang bango mo, Boss," she complimented.

"Behave or I'll leave you behind," I threatened.

She giggled. "Nge, hindi moa ko iiwan. Asawa mo ko eh," she reasoned.

I grinned. "Really, nakuha mo panglumandi sa situation natin?" I mention.

She pinched my stomach harder. "May kiss ka sa forehead nga eh. Enebe, Boss!"

A heat rocketed up to my throat when suddenly one of the men dropped dead.

"Fuck, a snipper!" I shouted and felt a sting on my cheeks.

"Fuck," I muttered and rolled down under the tree. "There's a lot of them. Fuck, they are near," I murmured.

"Boss may sugat sa mukha mong gwapo," she mentioned.

I glanced at her and she stared at me, tilting her useless head. "They caught up to us and you're boldly flirting. Moron," I mumbled, preparing my gun.

I snorted. "This is the result when they knew that my secret wife, holds a high position in this dark society," I stated as I let her leaned her head on my head.

"Both of your parents and your husband are all Mafia Boss," I told her, waiting for the enemies to make move.

"You were brought up by an agent heiress. And you're stupid, so they plan to eliminate you before you wake up," I continued.

"Fuck, I won't give up on protecting you."
