Akaashi Keiji (1)

Akaashi was ditched by Bokuto - literally.

He wasn't mad, though. Bokuto just found new group of friends and he invited Akaashi since they haven't talked for a long time. After Bokuto got into college, he's more pre-occupied by his new friends than his volleyball club. Akaashi was kind of disappointed he neglected his club but he couldn't do anything to stop Bokuto. He's a grown-up, after all.

So here he is, at the food court eating his Nanohana no Karashiae (boiled rapeseed plants with karashi mustard dressing). He rested his chin on the palm of his hand and just look at anything interesting. Turning his head 180 degrees, he finally noticed the girl with (color) eyes staring back at him with interest.

He flinched back, surprised to find she was there sitting across him. "Can I...help you?"

"Oh!" she leaned back in surprise. "He talks, after all! I'm sorry - you looked so lonely so I thought my accompany would make you feel better."

"I was not lonely." he stated.

She patted his arm that was resting on the table. "It's okay to admit it. I know how it feels - to be ditched by your friends going to a certain place you have no interest in. Trust me."

"You're a stranger..."

The girl 'cried'. "So mean, you mister! I was just being friendly! Mou!"

Akaashi became worried, his eyebrows relaxed. "I-I didn't mean to make you upset, miss. But thank you for being considerate. I really appreciate the effort." he shot her a smile.

"Okay," she went back to smiling. "I'm [Name]. Yours?"

"Akaashi."

"... is that all? I bet that's your surname."

"It is."

"But I gave you my first name!" she pouted.

He raised a brow. "You went with first name basis already?"

"Yeah - I moved here from (Country Name), though. Japanese isn't my first language. If you noticed, my accent is strange..." she babbled.

Deep down inside, Akaashi enjoyed her company and listened to her talk.

Extended Ending

"Thank you, Bokuto-san."

Bokuto stared at Akaashi weird. "Wait, what for?"

"Because you ditched me on that day, I've found [Name]. And I'm happy to have her as my girlfriend," he bowed before his senpai. "So thank you, Bokuto-san."

"R-Right! I am your senpai, after all!"
