I stared at the small sized cat as it stared back at me with its green eyes. I wanted to look away but something about its eyes made me attracted to it. I crouched down to pet it and it just lay there, resting its chin on its paw.

"Where's your owner?" I searched for its collar and found none. "You're a stray... but you're such a beautiful cat!"

As if the cat understood me, I swear I saw the cat smiled. I don't know how to explain it but the edge of his mouth lifted up a bit like it was smiling back at me. The cat got up again and rubbed itself on my leg. I giggled as I stroke its fur.

"You're a boy, huh? No wonder you're such a flirt." I brought the cat in my arms and hugged it. "I'll bring you home with me. Maybe after that I'll consider whether to keep you or not."

After reaching home, I bathed the cat – through struggles and scratches – and dry him up. It kept growling madly when I bathed him but I ignored him.

"Stop whining, kitty. You're going to look good so your new owner would keep you."

I continue to dry him when the cat suddenly whimpered in its language and slowly, it grew bigger. I backed away with my eyes widening as I witnessed the cat's bone cracking. I watched it slowly forming into a human figure. The fur was gone, replaced by human flesh. His tail and ears still stayed. This boy, who was a cat, looked down at me in his tall form. Just as I was about to yell, he covered my mouth.

"Don't yell, Miss! I'm harmless!" He spoke—wait... HE SPOKE?!

"Y-You! You talked!" I half shouted, making him roll his eyes.

"Yeah, sorry. Should I turn back so you wouldn't cause attention?"

"You're in my house; no one's around!"

"Wow, my last owner fainted when she saw how I turned into human," He muttered and sat down crossed legged. "The name's Lev, by the way. My Russian owner named me that before I lost my collar."

"I-I see," I recovered. "I'm sorry for reacting like that. It's my first time witnessing a cat turning into a human; it's not normal."

"But yelling is normal?" He said unamused. "How can your throat survived?"

"Just... like that? I'm (Name)."

He smiled. "Are you my new owner?"

"Oh. No, I planned to clean you up before leaving you at the pet house but after what I'm seeing, it's impossible. I mean, what would happen if someone else sees a mysterious cat turning into a human? They'd call people and probably will treat you badly." I said.

"So... you'll take care of me then?"

"I don't know, Lev. I don't want to leave you out there either. I never had a cat-human living in this house, especially when they're boys."

"You never live with boys?" He asked surprised.

"Normally, no. Unless I'm dating or married."

He looked like he's thinking deeply. "If I stay with you, you and I can date!"

"That's too soon, Lev!" I blushed. He just pouts when I rejected the idea of dating. "But being roommates isn't a bad idea... I have extra bedroom after my best friend is getting her degree in South America."

"Yatta!" He cheered and hugged me. "I'll watch over you in return! Please take care of me, (Name)!"

"In this house, call me (Name)-sama." I decided to joke.

He stood straight and saluted. "Okay, (Name)-sama!"

"I-I was just joking...!" I said but he ignored me, running towards the kitchen and bumping into my kitchen utensils already. I sighed, knowing this would happen.

Who am I to complain? At least Lev is a hot guy in human form.
