Reader is Kiyoko's sister.
It's ironic to see you're dating the libero of Karasuno and the sister of Kiyoko Shimizu – that boy was obsessed with Shimizu from the beginning so to see him dating his crush's sister is odd.
Though you guys were together, there's a void between you. Though he's with you, he was still starstruck with Shimizu and always found him just eyeing your sister.
It pissed you off to the point your body suddenly acting weird. You'd feel fatigue very easily so you missed your club meeting a lot. Your club members questioned you but you didn't want to worry them so you told them you were okay and you're just dealing with family stuff. Shimizu noticed immediately and was asked to send you to the clinic since it wasn't that critical.
"So what seems to be the problem, sensei? Am I really sick?" you asked anxiously, your older sister holding your hand.
"You will be if you're not careful," she looked away from her laptop to you. "Have you been staying up late and skipping meals?" she asked intently.
"I have. I was studying for midterm next month because I was failing my grades a-and... I started feeling so tired. I also cough out of nowhere." You told her.
"No medication?" she wrote down something.
"No."
"You did a brain scan last week because you got a migraine?" You nodded. "If you continue this without visiting the clinic, Miss Kiyoko, you'd be in sleep coma by now."
"W-What?" Shimizu gasped, staring at you in shock.
"How is that possible? It's not like I skipped that many meals or sleep. I had enough during the weekend." You tried to argue. It was true. You did get enough sleep but from all the stress thinking about Yuu gives you migraine. You were also crying your hearts out because you were thinking of breaking up with him.
What's the point, honestly? If he was using you to get closer with Shimizu, what's the goal for you? Nothing. You'd just be a reason for Yuu to be around your sister more. You loved him but it was one-sided.
"(f/n)...." Shimizu started as you two walked out of the clinic. "We have to go to the hospital tomorrow. Okay? If you continue this, you'll..." she couldn't continue when she received no replies. She may never know the pain you're going through but she would do anything to find cure for you. Therapy sessions, more sleep, anything. Remembering someone, Shimizu asked, "Nishinoya-kun deserves to know your condition, (f/n). You have been avoiding him all week."
"He doesn't care..."
Shimizu raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
You faced your sister, eyes teary. "Isn't it obvious, nee-chan? Yuu likes you! He only wants to be with me just to get closer to you. I've been up all night everyday crying because I know he doesn't love me the way he loves you. We hardly talked. I thought he was just shy but whenever you're around, he brightens up. Face it, Shimizu. Nobody will love me."
"What nonsense are you blabbering about, (f/n)? I love you; you're my sister."
"I meant romantically. I know you love me, nee-chan. I'm talking about romantic love. No boys will ever look at me when you're around."
That made Shimizu chuckle. "Silly head -knocks head- You are thinking way too much on this. I may attract boys but I can never love them more than I love my family. Besides, I'm not the romantic type."
"Get out."
"Seriously," she laughed. "If I stand next to Suga and Sawamura-san, I'd be the guy and they would be girls."
"Why?"
"Every guy I stand next to would blush and faint."

Though she told her sister to tell Nishinoya about her condition, she promised not to say anything until the girl is ready to spread the news. For now, she'll just keep quiet and continue doing her work as the team's manager.
"Hinata, your receiving is off! Boy! You're much worse than when you first don't know how to receive! Stop spacing out!" Ukai scolded, Hinata's face turned white.
"Yes, coach!"
"Kageyama, don't just keep passing to Asahi! Pass to Sawamura or Tanaka!"
"Hai!"
Yachi fell while holding the boys' bottle, causing Ukai to snap accidentally, "Stop falling!" and paused, realizing who is he scolding and stuttered, "Ah, Yachi-san! Sorry!"
But Yachi composed herself and collected the bottles. "N-No, I'm sorry for falling!" she bowed in apology from the other side of the court and collects the fallen bottles, putting them aside for the boys to collect.
"I'm on edge here, damn it..." Ukai rubbed his face and faced Kiyoko, "Ne, Kiyoko-san. Where's your sister, though? I always see her around and I was told she can coach a bit."
Kiyoko stiffened but hid it. "She has something to do." Then continued observing the practice.
The guys were given a 15 minutes break. Nishinoya approached the manager, bottle in hand. "Kiyoko-san. Um-" he looked around to find a certain person, "-where is (f/n)-chan? I haven't seen her for a week."
Should I tell him?
"Nishinoya-san..." she started. The libero stopped drinking to look at her. "I promised (f/n) that whatever happens, I will not cry. But... I don't know how you'll take it."
Nishinoya frowned, lowering his bottle. "Kiyoko-san...? You're scaring me."
She inhaled before finally saying it, "(f/n) has been on life support for a week now but her doctor just called me this morning."
"She didn't make it. Her brain system died."
