you and satori were meeting a counselor today and you were nervous, whereas satori was determined since he was eager to fix this problem between you both. when you two arrived, it was loaded with clients and most of them are teenagers. you checked in and the receptionist smiled as a greet.

"doctor shimizu will see you in a minute, mr. and mrs. tendou."

"thank you," you bowed and sat down to wait. satori sat next to you, crossing his legs. "are you nervous, satori?"

"why should i be nervous?" he looked at you.

you shrugged. "we're going to tell our counselor our problems, satori. it's... embarrassing and personal."

"that's what it is to be a counselor, darl. they're here to help us," he held your hand in his. "we're going to find the solution to this. for our kids."

"for taira,"

"and for kinzo,"

finally, it was time to meet with the counselor. you two shared looks before getting up to the room. the counselor looked up from her memo book when she heard you two walking in. she sent a small smile.

"good morning, mr. and mrs. tendou. i'm doctor shimizu and i'll be your counselor to help you with your problems," she looked back at her memo book again. "you need help with your marriage for the sake of your kids. before we could talk about everything else, tell me about yourself."

"i'm (personality) and i love to eat anything when i see one. i have 2 kids whom i love. i can be strict but i'd end up spoiling my younger daughter, taira. her older brother can be mean to her so i would scold him when i feel like it..."

"that's your problem; you're not strict enough. that's why he turned into a delinquent. look at those earrings!" satori exclaimed.

"my kinzo is not a delinquent! he looked like one, probably coming from his father!"

"wha—don't put this blame on me, woman! you're the one who carries him!"

"but it's your spe—"

"okay, we'll stop there," shimizu interrupted. "mr. tendou, isn't it your responsibility as a father to discipline your son?"

"yes, but kinzo listens to my wife more than me so i leave it to her."

"i see," shimizu nods her head at you. "was it stressful for you or do you not mind it?"

"it is stressful but as long as kinzo obeys me then i'm fine. satori here didn't spend much time with him, though. he comes home from work at nearly 9PM and kinzo barely sees him. i come home earlier so i thought that's why kinzo is fond with me."

"but that's not my fault!" satori defended. "i got leveled up so i stayed at the office more. it's not my fault my boss decided to put me into a bigger position."

"but kinzo misses you..."

"i do too, (Name)... i really do."

shimizu mentally smiled at the two of you. "okay, next question... mrs. tendou, when you and your husband argue at home, what do you feel?"

"upset? i don't know, counselor. i don't feel anything when i argue with him. when he yells, i kept quiet. i find it pointless for me to argue with him to make things worse. i didn't want taira to get involved."

"or do you perhaps... give up?"

"sorry?" satori paid attention.

shimizu leaned forward. "let me put this bluntly as i can, mrs. tendou. when a woman gives up arguing with her husband and not wanting to deal with it anymore, it meant that the relationship isn't worth fighting for anymore."

"wh-what are you saying?" you shakily questioned.

"if you want to go over the obstacles to fix your relationship, should it be worth fighting for?"

"i'm not giving up, counselor. i just thought i shouldn't make things worse, that's all! i didn't think of giving up our marriage; we want to do the opposite!"

"mrs. tendou, you didn't need counseling to fix this marriage at all. all you need is to talk to each other." shimizu encouraged. "go out, have a nice dinner and laugh it off. do fun activities like when you were teenagers. i assumed you two met in high school or at the end of it..."

satori smiled at the memory and unconsciously held your hand, giving it a light squeeze. "i met (Name) when she first moved to my high school, shiratorizawa. she was a first-year and i was a third-year. let me tell you, she had these cute glasses-"

"satori, no!" you blushed furiously, smacking his arm.

"-and she would push them up on the bridge of her nose and she would blink her eyes for a better vision..."

"that was orientation day?! you creep!"

satori ignored you and brightened when talking about the memories you had with him. the whole story, shimizu enjoyed how satori fell in love the moment he met you. her thought was how could these two married couple loves each other so much can make a small fight into a big deal. once counseling was over, you two walked out with your shoulders feeling lighter than it was. satori smiled at you and held out his arm for you.

"shall we go home, m'lady?"

you accepted the offer. "let's shall, my man."

Extended Ending

"so? how's the session?" kinzo asked, having taira in his arms.

you and satori glanced at each other. "that's our first and last session for us, kinzo. no more after this."

kinzo's jaw dropped. "what?! that was a 3 hour session and you two are back to normal?! this isn't normal!"

taira flinched. "kin-nii-san you're loud..."

kinzo softened and brushed taira's hair. "gomen, taira-chan," he turned back to you both. "explain, you two."

satori smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. "well... it started when your mom and i first met..."
