(y/n) and Matsukawa broke up after realizing it didn't work too well for the both of them - (y/n) has grown distant and depressed; Matsukawa couldn't help her. Everyday he came home to hear nothing but silence in their shared home. Before, (y/n) was always welcoming him home and give him kisses. Now, she was always found staring at nothing even though the television was turned on. Matsukawa's old teammates began to worry about them even though they aren't together. Something was off about (y/n) and Matsukawa couldn't come up with anything.
Everyday they passed by each other and that's when he noticed (y/n) looked transparent.
In other words, she was fading to nothing.
He thought he was just seeing things but as days goes by, she has not changed. He couldn't see the colour of her skin anymore. Especially her beautiful (e/c) eyes. So when the time comes, he decided to approach her.
"(y/n).." He called her, his voice barely audible.
(y/n) heard his voice and was surprised to see her ex-boyfriend before her, "Mattsun. What is it?" although she looked normal, her heart was the opposite. She was nervous, sad, and excited to see him at the same time. All the emotions were going wild she couldn't add anything to say.
Matsukawa took that message to say something and said, "(y/n), are you okay? You look...pale." He lied. No, he's about to say something more than just 'you're pale' or 'are you okay?'. He was concerned. He's scared. Why did she look so distant? Does she know she's fading?
"Mattsun, don't cry.."
He looked up, "I-I'm not I'm just- (y/n) you're fading. Why are you fading? Did I do something to you after we broke up? I would do anything to fix this." He said desperately. He still loves her. He still does.
Her soft hands went to reach his face and caressed it, "Don't blame yourself, Issei. What happened to us was not your fault. I did this to myself and you deserve better."
"But, (y/n)! Y-You're-"
"Issei," her voice turned firm, "Jeez. You're still stubborn but I'm still not used to you being serious and crying. Please, smile for me."
"Why are you fading, (y/n)?! Don't leave me." His voice shook in sadness, "There has to be another way to reverse this! I should have done something to stop you from killing yourself!"
"Oh, god Issei.." now it was her turn to have tears in her eyes, "Issei. Wake up."
"H-Huh?"
"Wake up."
"..... WAKE UP, ISSEI!" a voice shouted and he felt his body shaken by a strong force. He opened his eyes and found you on bed with him, a worried look on your voice. "Issei, what happened?" you asked.
"Wh-What? What did I do?" Matsukawa sat up on bed.
"You were screaming, Issei. You were screaming for me not to leave you and you started crying. Look, you're sweating." You used your hand to wipe the sweat off his forehead and showed it to him, "See? You're sweating buckets. God, Issei. I was so scared. After we argued yesterday, all I could think about was you. Actually I thought of making you mourn by yourself but after witnessing you like this, I am never leaving you again." You chuckled a bit.
Matsukawa properly sits on his bed and held your hands, "What did we fight about? I forgot."
Your (e/c) eyes stared into his and sighed, "I told you we will be expecting a baby and you just froze. I started assuming you didn't want the baby and all you could say was 'a baby?' in a disbelief tone. That's when I walk out crying and you didn't come after me. I was upset about that."
A baby.
2 simple words already made Matsukawa awake and his lips slowly grew into a grin.
"A baby?" His expression was different than the night before and he looked more happy than ever. "We're having a baby?" He repeated.
You nodded, noticing him smiling and you were copying his smile too, "You seemed happy..."
"Of course I am!" He yelled in happiness, "I'm going to have a baby!" He lifted you from the ground and twirled you around in the air making you giggle. He put you down feeling calmed down then his face turned serious, "(y/n), what is the year this year?"
Amused, you answered, "It's 2012, babe. I'm still in high school.."
"WHAT?!"
You smacked his chest, "Idiot. You're 21, which means it's 2016. Wow, that sleep must've really scared you. What was it about, anyway? Don't tell me it was angst shit and I faded away or something?"
"...."
"Noooooooooo." You stared at him amused, "Bro, you serious?!"
Mattsun hid under the blanket embarrassed the whole day while you spent 3 hours mocking him for it.
