Chapter 16

Jenna's POV

Jacob and I decide to leave just in case any more fights break out and to let both him and Daniel cool off. I put my arm around him the whole time as we are walking home to keep him feel comforted, almost stepping on my tippy toes because he is so tall and I'm so short.
When we get home, Jacob heads straight to his room. He slams the door shut. Well then, isn't that lovely?

I go into my room and change into my sweatpants and sports bra for pyjamas. I put my hair in a messy bun, which takes me about 100 times to actually do, because that's just life.

I go into Jacob's room quietly. He is sleeping. I smile to myself. Then all of a sudden I realize that if is pitch black. I start to get scared. I'm terrified of the dark. I am about to close the door, when I hear Jacob say something.

"Scared?" He says. I can almost feel him grinning.

"No duh," I respond. He laughs.

"Come here," he says. I walk over to the bed quickly and lay next to him, facing the wall.

I feel really bad about tonight. It's my fault that the fight broke out. I should have just left when Daniel told me his feelings. I should have...

"Jenna, look at me," Jacob says. I don't turn in hopes he'll think I fell asleep. He grabs my waist and back and turns me. Dang he's strong.

"You're not blaming yourself for tonight, are you?" He says. I sigh.

"A little," I admit. He kisses my forehead.

"Don't blame yourself for this," he whispers in my ear softly. Chills go down my spine as I feel his breath fan against my cheek. He pulls me in closer to him, and kisses me.
He starts to rub little circles on my back, which soothes me. My eyes become droopy and I soon fall asleep.
