Chapter 6

Jenna's POV

"Jacob?"

"That's me."

I tried to speak, but nothing came out. I didn't know what to say. I just sign the album, catching a glimps of one of the pages of us when we were 13.

"Jenna, can we please talk?" He asks. I sigh.

"Maybe later," I tell him. He nods and moves for the next person. I sign her phone case and start a conversation with her. About half an hour later, we are finished meeting everyone.

Kasey and I start to walk home, when I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and come face to face with those hazel eyes I've gotten to know so well. Jacob.

"Jenna, we really need to talk," he says.

"Jacob, I just-"

"Jenna, please," he begs. I look at Kasey, silently asking if I should talk to him.

"I'll be going home now. I'll give you guys some time to talk," she says. I mouth thank you to her and she slightly smiles at me. She walks away towards our house while Jacob and I stand in silence for a few moments until he speaks up.

"Jenna, I'm really sorry. Miranda threatened that she would hurt you, and I didn't want you to get hurt, so this is what I did. I did this for you, and now she broke up with me, and she said that she's sorry for ever doing this to us. Please forgive me, Jenna," he says. I stay silent.

"But you did hurt me Jacob," I finally speak up.

"But you got over it quickly! I hurt myself for you! Don't you understand? I didn't want you to get hurt, so I did this. It hurt me more then it could ever hurt anyone to say that. I hurt myself emotionally for you. Just for, Jenna. All for you."

I finally talk. "You did this for me?" I ask.

"Of course," he responds.

"You hurt yourself for me? So I wouldn't get hurt?"

"Yes," he says. I slightly smile to myself and look into his eyes. .
"Thank you. I forgive you. You don't fully have my trust, as because that's something you'll have to earn, but I forgive you," I tell him. He smiles.

"Thank you so much, Jenna."

Jacob's POV

She forgave me! Yes! My life is finally turning around!
After we catch up for a bit, we decide to head back to her house. When we walk in, Kasey is immediately staring at Jenna.

"No, no, Jenna. Don't tell me you and Jacob are together again" She says.

"No, we're just friends," she assures her. Just friends. Only friends.
