This is crazy. I’m a Medusa spawn, since when? Do my parents know? Are they one too? I hope so. I have so many questions to ask them. I wish it wasn’t just thrust upon us. Seriously we just met these people. I’m freaking out now. I don't want to be part of this freaky world.

“Do our parents know?” I blurted out the first of my many questions.

“Most likely, they’re just not allowed to tell you. The child must find out themselves,” Michie explained. “It’s one of the many rules of the supernatural world.”

“Why are there so many rules?” Daemon asked. “What happens if we don’t follow them?”

“Litax the holy goddess of light will send the other holy goddesses to hunt and kill said person,” Ken shuddered. Why did he shudder? Did something happen to him? I feel bad for him.

“That seems harsh.” Garrett said, bluntly.

“Not really it’s good. It shows them who’s boss.” Michie said, strongly.

“Wait who are the holy goddesses?” I inquired.

“Flarona, goddess of fire, Mistah, goddess of water, Quakgore goddess of earth, Aerora goddess of wind, Darkoz, goddess of darkness, Thundarn, goddess of thunder, Blizzar goddess of ice,” Ken explained.

“And Litax the goddess of light,” Michie finished. “But there is one goddess that is neither good nor evil. She is the goddess of all things and people. That goddess is Chaoran.” And with that Daemon tensed up. I don’t know why. But as soon as Michie mentioned Chaoran he tensed. There has got to be a reason.

“Daemon, are you okay?” I asked him.

“I- No, not really,” Daemon stuttered. He never stutters. This is serious.

“I would understand,” Ken started. “Considering we’re talking about your mom aren’t we?” Wait what?

Garrett

Holy shit, Daemon’s mom is a goddess, since when? Why didn’t he tell us? Wait he’s a dream demon right? Maybe that’s why. Maybe she hates him for being a demon. I feel bad for him. I want to take care of him now. I hope she doesn't hate him that much. It would just be horrible for him.

“How did you know about my mother?” Daemon asked. He looked as if he’d seen a ghost. He was pale. And his eyes were wide in horror and shock. This must be so hard on him.

“Everyone here knows your mother. And that she has a son and a daughter. No one’s seen her. Your mother or your sister,” Ken said.

“I’ve seen both of them. I just ran away. She hated us. She hated how I became a demon. She doesn’t even know how it happened. I just became one. And my sister, Valli, is a wood nymph. She hates how neither of us became an angel. How neither of us can take her throne. She hates how we are both children of darkness. Personally, I’m glad. I didn’t want to be around there for long. I’m glad we left,” Daemon was almost in tears.

I feel so bad for him, having to leave just because he wasn’t an angel. How did he find Chelsea? Where did he go when he ran? I have so many questions. But none I would ask him directly.  I don’t want to remind him of such a horrible life. Like mine was. But it sounds as if his was worse and as if on cue. Someone walked in. Someone I didn’t recognize. It was obvious it was a girl though. She was coming towards us. And that’s when Daemon’s eyes went wide again.

“Hello Daemon,” The girl said. Smiling, looking friendly.

“V-Valli,”

You gotta be kidding me? Valli’s here, Daemon’s sister. The one no one’s heard from in forever. I can’t believe this. What does Daemon think of it? I steal a quick glance at him. He has a mix of terror and surprise on his face.  He must be freaking out inside. He probably doesn’t know what to think of the situation.
