Aaron had left me here alone, with the devil. And Eclipse I presume, chained to the wall like a prisoner. If that wasn’t creepy enough, well this sure was. There were spikes, and candelabras everywhere. Where are we the Middle Ages? The walls were all stone. And Chaoran was sitting on a throne up on a pedestal that was almost as high as the ceiling. If this wasn’t cliché I didn’t know what was.

“Welcome Chelsea. This is my castle. And your new home. Your bed will be the spot right next to my other prisoner.” She tried to sound welcoming. But how can you when you’re saying something so cruel?

“No. I’m not staying.”

“Awe my dear don’t you know. Once you’re in, it’s near impossible to get out.”

“You don’t scare me. Why would I be scared of you? You’re just an old hag.”

“My dear, don’t be like that. I’m just trying to make conversation. And it’d be nice if you were nice back.” She looked angry. Good let her be. I don’t want to be here.

“You call that being nice? I’d like to see you being mean.”

“You don’t want to. Now would you like something? Like tea or coffee, perhaps something to eat?” Now she was genuinely being nice. And I liked that. It probably won’t last for long.

“I’d like a tea please.” I answered. I wasn’t that thirsty. But what else was I supposed to do? I was afraid if I wasn’t nice she’d kill me.

“Alright, Aaron, come here!!!” She called.

“Yes mistress.”

“Bring us two teas. Uh Chelsea what would you like?”

“Um two sugars and a cream...” I said nervously.

“Alright I’ll be back in ten minutes.”

“So Chelsea, where were you off to when you saw Aaron?” She started with what I’m pretty sure will be a long line of questions.

“I was off to Angelica’s. We had believed she stole a page from Michie’s parents’ book. But I later on learned it wasn’t her but Aaron.”

“Ah I see. So, hmm I don’t think there isn’t anything else I don’t know.”

“Apparently not, is it okay if I ask some questions?” I asked. I didn’t expect her to say yes. She’s not really the kind of person who would reveal her life story.

“Sure. Why not? But if there is anything I don’t feel like answering, I won’t.”

“Alright, why do you hate Garrett?”

“He’s stupid, he’s stubborn, he’s a bad influence on Daemon, and he wouldn’t listen to me.” I didn’t expect her to answer that one.

“Hmm, if Valli and Daemon aren’t born of light, and then what kind of supernatural was their father?”

“He was the chaos god. He led the chaos goddesses and he was supposed to look after the chaos super naturals. But he died and with him so did those goddesses. I had to take over. I didn’t want to. But I had to and that’s why I don’t like them. They are chaos super naturals. In fact all 6 of you are except Michie. She is the only holy supernatural among you.” A little lengthy but I got what I wanted.

“Hmm that’s all my questions.” I turn around and saw that Aaron had arrived with our tea. “I see our tea has arrived.”

“So it has. Aaron come sit up here.” He handed me my tea and then walked up some stairs behind the pedestal and sat at the edge.

Just as he had sat down I heard the door open. I didn’t turn yet. I didn’t want to know who it was.

“Ah I see we have more guests.” Chaoran called from her seat. I turned around finally and saw Ken and Michie standing in the doorway

.“What are you two doing here?” I asked.

“We came to save you, and Eclipse, speaking of which. Where is he, Chaoran?” Michie called out.

“You mean that boy.” She pointed to the wall on our right. And that’s when she looked over at where Eclipse stood.

“Let him go.” She looked as if she was trying not to scream.

“That’s not going to happen. He’s mine now. And he will be for a long time.”

“Michie, don’t listen to her. She’s just trying to get in your head. She wants you all to get back at Garrett and Daemon,” Eclipse sounded weak. I didn’t expect him to sound like that. I thought she would’ve taken care of him like she did for me.

“You weren’t supposed to say anything! Don’t make me hurt you again.” She yelled at him.

“Don’t you lay a finger on him!”

“Or what?”

“Or I’ll cut you into tiny little pieces.” Ken barged in. And I’m glad he did. I haven’t heard him talk in a while.

“You can’t scare me. Nothing can.”

“That’s a lie. Everyone has a fear. It’s just some peoples are less obvious. And some people’s they don’t know about until they’re old a wrinkly just like you,” I insulted her. I didn’t care that we had been nice before. That was over. I got what I needed.

“That’s it little girl. I’m done with you.” She threw a knife at me. I wasn’t prepared for that. Was I supposed to run? If I was, I’m stupid. Then again I was scared. Chaoran just threw a knife at me. I closed my eyes, ready for the impact. But it didn’t come. I heard a scream and my eyes open quickly. On the ground laid Ken, lifeless. I picked him up. He didn’t deserve to be on the ground. Once I did I started sobbing.

Ken was dead. And it was all my fault. I just had to insult her. He would be alive if it wasn’t for me. It was too much for me to handle.

“I didn’t get who I wanted. But at least one of you is dead.” I wanted to say something back. I just couldn’t. I was too upset. I turned my head to look at Michie. She looked like she was holding back tears. I looked at her and she looked back. I was looking through tear-filled eyes. Hers looked empty, As if all the life had been sucked out of her, which is how I felt, and literally how Ken was.
