I had been in my bed crying when I heard a knock at the door. I assumed it was Garrett again so I ignored it. But whoever it was really wanted to see me because they kept banging on the door. So, I got up and walked to the front door.

            “What do you want?”

“Hello, Chelsea.” My eyes started to tear up again.

“Why are you here?” I could get the words out between the tears.

“Don’t speak.” She pulled me into a hug but I pulled away. I wasn’t ready to forgive her, if I would ever forgive her.

“Chelsea, please. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. Will you ever forgive me?”

“I don’t know you killed him in front of me. How do I forgive someone for something like that?”

“I’m sorry. You know I’m sorry.”

“No I don’t. Now get away.”

“I’m not leaving. And wouldn’t you rather have someone better to comfort you?”

            “I’d rather have Daemon.”

“Well if you want someone who is about to have sex then I’d happily grab him for you.” I looked her at her through my teary eyes.

“Why are you so mean? What did we do to make you do this to us?”

“Chelsea dear, I don’t hate you. At least you’re the only one I don’t hate. I have high respect for you. I’m sorry if I ever made you think that.”

“Stop it, I know you’re lying. You never tell us the truth. So why would you now?”

“Chelsea, please. You are my favourite. Now go inside I’ll make you some tea, and something to eat. You look really pale. Have you been eating?” I look away from her, and start to head back into my dark house. But she grabs my arm and stops me.

“No, I’m too upset to eat.”

“Chelsea, that’s not a reason not to eat. Now come on I’m going to make you something.” She dragged me inside of my own home. “Now what do you want? But I’m in the mood for tacos. Do you want tacos?”

            “I don’t want anything…”

            “Tacos it is!”

            “But I don’t want food.”

“You will shut up and let me make the tacos.” She turned around but turned back around to face me. “Where’s the kitchen?”

“Take a right and I don’t know I’ve never used it.” I told her, which was true, I either went to Daemon’s to eat, or I met Daemon somewhere and we ate out.

“Hmm oh well I’ll find it eventually. Now do you have stuff for tacos?”

“I don’t think so. But you’ll have to make chicken or fish tacos because I’m vegetarian.”

“I am too! We could be like best friends!”

“But Daemon’s already my best friend.”

“You can have two best friends, Chelsea.”

“Look, just go and get chicken and come back and make it for me.”
