We had finally reached a door after how many years of walking. Valli was about to open it. I was holding Daemon for support. I had no idea what was behind the door. And I like holding Daemon. He’s just so soft, and very comfortable, like a pillow.

“Are you two ready?” She asked us. We both nodded. And then she pushed open the door. The room was dim-light. Unlike the hallway which was so brightly lit, it could’ve blinded someone. We walk further in and I still see nothing. I didn’t know what I was expecting. But I certainly was expecting to see an empty room. Or at least I thought it was empty.

The doors slammed shut. The lights went out. And when they came back on Valli wasn’t where she was before. Instead she stood at the back of the large room, standing next to someone else. They looked very similar. They both had dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. I could barely tell the difference. But then my eyes adjusted and I saw that one of them was shorter and I recognized exactly who was.

“Angelica, Valli! What are you doing?” I called.

“Don’t you see Garrett, I was only tricking you. We needed to get you here. And what better way than pretending I’m on your side.”

“But I trusted you.” Daemon said.

“And that’s your problem Daemon you trust too easily. You got to learn not everyone is who you think they are.”

“Valli you’re my sister. Of course I would trust you.”

“Daemon shut up. No one liked you. The only person who did was that slut, Chelsea.”

“Don’t you dare speak about her like that!” Daemon shot back at her.

“Shut up like I told you to.”

“No. You’re not the boss of me.”

“You’re so annoying. But the boss said not to kill you. No matter how much I want to.”

“I’m not listening. Now will you like to tell me why you’re here?”

“Chaoran wanted everyone here, including the 6 of you.”

“The six of us?”

“The werewolf,”

“Eclipse, why is he important in all of this?” I asked.

“He’s the only werewolf left in the country. Chaoran needs him.”

“What for?”

“The plan, she plans to wipe out all the chaos super naturals.”

“You’re kidding me? She’s planning that? She plans to kill us?”

“Yes. And we were overjoyed.”

“You do realize though, if she kills all the chaos super naturals. That includes you.”

“What? She failed to mention that.” Angelica looked upset.

“You’re an idiot. She doesn’t care about anyone. When she told you the story of how our father died. Did she leave the important detail that she was the one who killed him?”

“What story?”

“Awe she didn’t tell you the story. That means she doesn’t give a damn what happens to you.” Daemon told her. And each time he told her something she got more and more upset.

“Shut up! She does care. I know she does.”

“Stop lying to yourself. She only cares about one thing and one thing only, herself.” I jumped in.

“I want to kill you so badly.”

“Angelica you’re so full of yourself.” Valli said.

“What are you saying?”

“I’m saying you don’t say shit like that to my brother and his boyfriend.” And then Valli slapped Angelica right across the face. Angelica stumbled on the edge of the pedestal. And then Valli nudged her. And she fell right off the edge, landing on her back. Daemon and I move in closer to her. But Valli stops us.

“No don’t kill her. We could use her. Grab her arms.”

“No. Don’t. It hurts.” She complained. Did we listen? Hell no. We grabbed her arms and she cried out in pain.

“Stop complaining,” Daemon commanded.

“I fell from 30 feet onto a stone floor. How do expect me not to complain?” She said. But we ignored her. We carried her out of the room, and started walking back down the long-ass corridor.

Chelsea

Chaoran had just killed Ken. I was having a hard time dealing with it. Aaron hadn’t tried to stop her. No one did. I just wanted to crawl up into a ball and cry in the corner. But I know that wouldn’t help. Chaoran would just come over to me and kill me right there. I had to be strong for now.

I heard someone walk up behind me and place their hand on my shoulder. I turned my heard and saw that it was Michie.

“Are you alright, Chelsea?” She asked me.

“Of course I’m not. He was killed right in front of me. How am I supposed to get over that?”

“It will be alright, Chelsea.”

“No it won’t. He’s dead. And he died saving me. It’s my fault. And you know that.”

“Stop your complaining.” Chaoran called from her throne.

“Or what, you’re going to kill me too? I’d like to see you try.”

“Chelsea, don’t challenge her.” Aaron called down at me.

“I can do what I want.”

“Yes you can. But the results won’t be so pretty.” Chaoran answered.

“I don’t give a damn. I don’t want to live without him. Someone please put me out of my misery.” And then the doors burst open and in came Garrett, Valli, and Daemon, carrying an almost lifeless body. Which I soon recognized as Angelica.

“What happened here?” Garrett asked. But regretted it. He saw my face. He saw the blood on my hands. And saw Ken’s dead body behind me. “Alright I know you wouldn’t kill him. So it must’ve been that bitch up there.”

“Very wise accusation.” Chaoran said with her creepy ass voice.

“Is it just or has she gotten creepier?” Garrett said.

“She has. Now Chaoran you let Chelsea and Eclipse go or we’ll kill Angelica.” Valli threatened.

“You’re going to kill her, to threaten me? I mean fine. You can go. I’m done with you for now, though I will be back. And I’m sure Garrett, Daemon, Valli, Angelica, and Aaron know why. But it’s up to them to tell you three.”

“What is she talking about?” Michie asked me.

“Nothing, now let’s go.” Garrett is definitely hiding something. But I really wanted to get out of here.

“Michie you help Eclipse. Garrett you help me with his body.” I commanded. I’ve never been the one in charge before.

“I don’t want to touch a dead body.” He complained.

“Do it, or I’ll hit you.” I threatened. And he quickly dropped Angelica’s arm and ran to me. He must really be scared of me. We both grabbed an arm. And started to drag him out of the room. Everyone was falling behind us, except Angelica and Chaoran of course.

“So Garrett are you going to tell me?” I asked him.

“Maybe once we’re out of the castle. And besides I can barely make sense of it. It was Daemon who told me.”

“Fine you’re off the hook… for now.” I threatened him. And for the last 15 minutes of the walk, we made small talk.
