Chapter 34: Dissolve

Chelsea

   I got up, and started looking for Garrett, or Daemon. I started with the DJ-like thing. They weren’t there so I went to the punch/ refreshments. And that’s when I saw the worst possible thing ever. Chaoran dead, with her head in the punch bowl, Hellion standing above her, and Garrett and Daemon beside him looking at the scene in horror.

   “What the hell happened?” I choked on a tear.

   “I killed her.”

   “I can see that. What the hell did you do that for?” I looked him straight in the eye.

   “Because I needed to get back at her.”

   “So, you killed her? What kind of logic is that?”

   “Logic that makes sense.” He walked away. I also heard the front door slam behind him.

   “What are we supposed to do? Where do we put the body?”

   “You know we have to deal with this a lot.” Daemon said.

   “Daemon, you didn’t have to deal with Clay.”

   “Whatever, now someone call Michie, and I’ll call Valli. We have to get her out of here, before anyone notices.” Daemon said, and got out his phone and dialled Valli’s number. I did the same but with Michie’s number. Garrett stood there, doing nothing.

   I didn’t get a hold of Michie; it went straight to voice mail. I decided to look for her instead of calling her. It was easier, and no one had to waste minutes.

   I made my way through the crowd, but I couldn’t find her, I eventually bumped into someone though. I said I was sorry, but the person didn’t notice me, so I kept walking, but then someone grabbed my wrist. I looked at their face, it was Chris.

   “We meet again.” He flashed a white tooth smile.

   “I can’t talk. I have to find someone.”

   “What’s the matter?”

   “Nothing just let me go.”

   “It doesn’t look like nothing. Come on just tell me.”

   “You’re not going to let it go are you?” He shook his head. “Fine, but you can’t tell anyone.”

   “I swear.”

   “Hellion killed Chaoran. He drowned her right in the punch bowl.”

   “That’s psycho. Who the hell does that?”

   “Hellion does that. So, we got to move the body.”

   “Can’t you just call the police, or the ambulance?”

   “And tell them that a God killed a Goddess, at a house party?”

   “I guess that does seem a little farfetched.”

   “Just a little bit.”

   “So, where do we put it?”

   “We got to bury it somewhere.”

   “I know just the place. Gather anyone you want/need, and meet me outside.” He walked away and outside. I walked back to Garrett and Daemon and told them to go outside, and meet with a guy with brown hair named Chris, and then I left them to find Michie.

Michie

   I was sitting on the floor in front of the fridge. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. Eclipse had just tried to kiss me. And I rejected it. I totally wanted to do it, but I just couldn’t. It felt wrong. It just felt wrong, to take him back. No matter how much I wanted to.
