Mele
I stare at the wall with a blank face, no matter how hard they try I will not let them in my head. Not now, not ever. Even if I did let them know, they wouldn't understand, no one does.
Out side my door I hear the annoying sound of voices, interrupting my self pity. Then just like that I'm boiling with anger, hot and mad. I search the room for something to throw but all I see is my pillow as they have taken everything else away from me and my 'tantrums'. This only makes me angrier! I'm about to start screaming when a soft voice talks to me. "It's ok....Mele" They say my name almost as if its precious and needs to be kept sacred.....I like it said like that, however I will not let them in. "Shhhhh it will be alright, always look on the bright side" The voice says, I immediately think of the song.
Always look on the bright side of life
Do di di di di do
But despite my side-tracked imagination, I was curious of who this person was. Slowly I turn around. As surprised as I was, I made sure I showed no expression at all. But felt a tear roll down my cheek.
He was about my Selei's age, with thick curly brown hair, he was tanned, which made his forever dark blue eyes stand out even more. Smiling at me he started to sing
Across the mountains
Across the sea
There's a place which I call mine
It's filled with what I call peace
It's filled with all the time
But I will be happy to share my place
To whoever is in need
So dry your tears and come with me
You can trust me....Mele
His face was filled with absolute understanding and I did what I've been known to do......I started to cry. But this time I felt completely content, as this time I had someone to help me.
He hugged me tight and rocked me back and forth, and he started to sing his song again but this time over and over till I fell asleep.

"Now remember, this girl despite her loneliness is a very angry girl, so try not to get her worked up" I told my nephew as we come to the steps of the tsunami survivors children's home, we call it TSCH. 'Bang' the door shuts loud behind us and I can't help but shiver at the instant feeling of sadness which in flows over you.
"Meredith"
I shout to the homes boss, Meredith turns sharply and starts to walk towards us. "you have come to see the little twit" I see my nephew flinch at the words and he steps forward "I'm sorry but were actually not here to see you" Meredith huffs loudly but obviously not too affected. "You'll no what I mean when you see her" and with that she lead us to the furthest door on the right.
I took a peak at her bedroom and saw her sitting on the bed with a blank expression on her face. I sighed, she looks about 10 years older than when I saw her last. "have you found out anything about her" my nephew says
"Well we know she's about six, she's called Mele and she is the most impossible girl I have ever met" Meredith says. "One minute she's as quiet as a mouse, the next she's screaming like a banshee, she is the reason we have had 3 staff leave since the tsunami happened."
"Well she has had a lot to deal with" I say
"Yes but so has everyone, you know I think it would have been better for every one that you didn't rescue her!"
"Now Meredith, you know I wouldn't have ever been able to leave her"
"Whatever" Meredith snaps back and hurriedly walks down the corridor.
"Well isn't she a cheerful girl" I say as I turn to my nephew, only to find him gone. Puzzled I look around, and then hear this soft singing, I look in Mele's room and see him hugging and rocking her back and forth.
A small smile appears on my lips as I see her crying body slowly fall asleep.
