Chapter 19

Cale

Why is it every time I feel I'm getting closer to Mele, she goes and does something that brings us right back to the start. Doesn't she want help?

I cover my face with my hands and take a couple of deep breaths.

The door creaks open and I stand up abruptly. The counsellor walks out pushing Mele with her. "Cale! I didn't think you would wait" The counsellor says in surprise. I give her a shaky smile and look at Mele.

She's smiling and looks genuinely happy. "So Mele, how are you" I say awkwardly. She laughs, "never been better" And it was then that she started to laugh and ran away down the corridor. The counsellor looks about as confused as I am but quickly adds "if I were you, I wouldn't let her out of your sights for a while, however don't let her feel that your surrounding her" The counsellor says turning away, "Oh and by the way, if you could find out what she means by 'Selei is a SS' I would be really great full."

I look away in confusion and here a door bang and then I'm left in the corridor by myself wondering, thinking and hoping that Mele will be alright.

Filiki (incase you have forgotten he is Cales uncle/ the one who saved Mele)

I watch the sleeping boy a little longer and then walk out, there are a lot of children to care for, a lot of orphans with no place to go. However I have never once seen any go home, or leave.

And if its going to be any one it's definitely not going to be Mele, how many foster parents specialise in suicidal victims. I laugh at the thought.

I continue to walk forward, and with each step I feel like someone's watching me, I shiver and start running down the hallway, not wanting to look behind incase something's chasing me. I shake my head at my stupidity and laugh, but as I do I hear a mighty roar, and I get pushed to the ground on my face, 'ouch' I think. And then I realise what is pushing me down.

"If you ever think badly about Mele again, there will be more than just my roar." And then it disappears, I stand up shaking, desperately looking around in search of the mighty creature but nothing is to be seen.

Thinking it was just my imagination I quickly start to walk to mg office. As I do I hear the loud doorbell ring, not wanting to answer I call out to Cale.

He walk hurriedly past but you can see the confusion in his face, after all nobody comes after lunch, and it's now sunset.

Selei

'Ha' I think to myself, 'nothing can stop this mighty lion' I say as I change back into me.

Swirling my white dress, I press the doorbell. Looking up at the many storeys I see not one but numerous lights on, it mustn't be a very nice place at night.

I then hear footsteps so I get ready looking at the door, willing it to open.

The door creaks open, and a boy around my age opens it, he himself looks like an angel. He gasps but then try's to compose himself. "Umm can I help you?" he says a little shaky, to put him at ease I smile and say "I'm Selei, what's your name"

He gasps again but shakes his head, "I'm Cale"

Going on camp tonight and won't be back till late Sunday, so possibly no update till Wednesday at the most. :( sorry
