Chapter 10

Cale

"Mele!" I shout towards the direction of which she ran.

"Damn it" I curse. I wonder why she thought she couldn't trust me? No one knows about the bargain except my uncle, Meredith and I.

"Cale what's wrong? Why did you call me?" Filiki says coming out of the TSCH building.

"I'll tell you what he did, he's let the little brat go" Meredith said coming up behind uncle. Her wet greyish brown hair suggested that she just got out of the shower, that and she had a towel around her body.

"Cale....whats happened.....is that true, that she's gone?" Uncle asked me with a confused expression.

"Yes but....I didn't know.....you said her sister was......but she didn't know....about it....i think she just thought....she didn't know.......know she was dead." I stammered, to tell you the truth I don't think I would believe myself after that speech, "good one" I mutter under my breath.

"Oh, your saying that she didn't know her sister was dead...right?" My uncle said still a little confused.

"Yes, and now she's gone!"

I say glancing in the direction if which she had ran.

"WAIT Filiki, you never told me her sister had died! That explains all the tantrums! Why didn't you tell me, I'm the boss of this place!"

Meredith says her eyes flashing in a anger I had never seen before, but behind that anger I saw another emotion.......no it can't be.....I saw concern.... no wait that's just more anger.

My uncle sighed and then took a deep breath, "Cale, did she tell you anything before she ran?"

Of course, all they care about is knowing the past, why can't they just learn about the present.

But I still had to uphold my end of the deal,

"Mele doesn't have a mother, as in her mums dead, I'm not sure if she even ever had one" I say with a sigh.

"Well of course she had a mother! How do you think she came into this world, a stalk carried her and placed her down a chimney did they?!"

Meredith screeched.

"Let's just go find her!" I say, my voice much lower as I stare darkly at her, gee I really loathe that women.

She fidgeted under my stare.

"Well I'm gonna get dressed" she said realising she was only in a towel.

I turned to Filiki.

"Come on....my best friends in trouble"

And I start to walk away,

"Cale, I think she would be better off without our help, if she wants to run away it clearly means she's not happy at TSCH, I think we should just leave her" My uncle said, I felt all those anger management classes disappear.

"How dare you! Don't you know how much she means to me! She's my world, like a little sister! You didn't give up on me when I was little, so why give up on her!?"

"Cale, you have known her 2 weeks! That's hardly enough time to be calling her a little sister!"

"I don't care how many times you tell me, I won't give up on her, after all, she's exactly like I was, and I know now I would have gone and done it if you hadn't given me hope!"

And then I ran.

Sorry it's taken soooooooo long! but I've been really unmotivated!
