I've listened this song for like ever but I never thought about it from a maze runner pov.

Night falls with gravity,
Night could be a metaphor for newt and he falls with gravity
The earth turns from sanity,
The flare makes you insane!
Taking my only friend I know,
Thomas looses newt
He leaves a lot, his name is "Hope".
He left a lot of people behind

Newt doesn't like what he's become because of the flare

He made Thomas kill him which made him cry. He liked it because he didn't have to live with the flare

The horrors of the night melt away,
