The next day Cole was outside my house exactly at 6 pm and thanks god I was ready. I had white shorts with blue jean shirt tied on the side, I hadn't dressed that well for a very long time and I was really enjoying how good I looked. I walked out of the house with Cole's eyes capturing every single movement of mine. I smiled a toothy silly smile and got into his car, an Oldsmobile Omega, very classy and spacious. As soon I was sat in the comfortable seat Cole spoke.
-Hello there, how are you doing?
-Fine, you?
-Pretty good as well, you surprised me a bit.
Why?
-Because you weren't late.
He said and started the engine, I chuckled and gave me a big smile.
-So where do you want to go?
-I don't know I haven't seen much to be honest, I will let you choose, you are much more familiar with the area than I am.
-Okay then.
He drove all the way across the town and then stopped in a little cafe.
-Why did you stop here?
-Because this store over there has the best coffee in town and you have to try it. After all don't I choose our stops today?
He blinked and got out of the car, gesturing me to stay there. He was back in no time with two cups of cold coffee, he handed me one over the open window.
-Cappuccino, caramel flavored no sugar and no milk. Trust me you will love it.
Oh come on, I can't drink coffee with no sugar; I don't like its flavor that much. I take a sip to not seem stubborn but already trying to think of ways to get rid of the cup and its liquid. Surprisingly I loved it, the taste was so balanced and not too strong, the best coffee I had ever tried. When he was about to start the car again I glanced at him with excitement.
-That's so great; I had never tasted such a tasteful coffee before.
-I'm glad to hear that.
-What are we going to do next?
-Surprise.
He is driving out of town, receiving a suspicious look from me.
-Come on don't look at me that way; I trusted you when you were driving like it was the last day of your life yesterday. Just do the same, I won't kill you I promise.
-I have my doubts on that one.
He rolled his eyes with a grin and changed the topic completely.
-I have never visited Greece...how is it like?
-It's a beautiful country, exactly like its people, unorganized, sunny, pretty and crazy.
-Do you legit tell me that in Greece you are nuts?
-Isn't it obvious?
I say make the psycho eyes at him, making him take his eyes off the road for a few seconds.
-What do you think about American's so far?
-Not really, it's a pretty small town to give you any idea of the American population generally, with that many people living in U.S.A. it's mathematically possible to bump into a thousand crazy ones on the same place.
He laughs loudly, with a sound similar to Rhett's, they are the kind of brothers that you can say unquestionably that they are siblings not only by the looks but by gestures and expressions in general.
