The worst thing wasn't that he was kissing Jamie, the most beautiful girl in High school neither that he was kissing another girl. The worst was what I felt the moment I saw them. Jealousy. I felt the blood draining from my body and anger fulfilling my brain. I walked to my motor and sprinted on the road as fast I could. I had never felt that rejected in my whole life. I couldn't deny it though, she was gorgeous. She was skinny and tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, she was unmistakably hot and a very nice girl. I felt tears wetting my cheeks and I shook my head. He is worth it.
A loud beep interrupted my thoughts. It was Cole.
-Hey I have been trying to get your attention for at least five minutes.
-What happened?
-Pull over.
He did as I told and I place my vehicle next to his.
-What is going on? I thought you were enjoining yourself in school, you seemed to like it.
-And I do, I'm not very good today.
-Do you want me to cancel on the guys?
-No, in fact i want to make sure they will be there. I need to have some fun tonight. Can we just go and buy everything I need to cook together. I need some company right now.
-Okay, let's go. Follow my lead.
I kept following him quietly completely absorbed by my thoughts. Cole was such a nice guy, he was always good to me and helped when I needed it, I couldn't be happier to have him around. When we arrived at the store he was putting so much effort at bursting a smile out of my lips. In the end he did it.
-You have the most amazing laughter I have ever heard. I had never seen someone laughing so loud and so cute before I met you.
-That's because I laugh only when I'm into the joke.
I smile a big smile at him and exit the store to realize the bags won't fit in my motorbike.
-Cole will you take them?
-Of course.
When we returned he helped me put the groceries into place and then he left.
Around 6 p.m as I was about to start preparing snacks the doorbell rang and both Cole and Rhett walked in. My parents had left to visit Dunn and they wouldn't be back until midnight or so.
-Hello Martin.
Rhett said with a smirk. Cole rolled his eyes.
-Hey there.
-Why did you come so early? I haven't prepared anything yet. I'm sorry.
-Cole insisted at coming and help you. You know since you have to feed 6 guys with big tastes.
-Oh okay, come to the kitchen then.
-So you will tell us what we have to do and we will try to do it.
Cole said with a toothy smile.
-Can I mention I have never cooked in my life?
-It's okay Rhett, it's not that hard.
They were good at obeying orders and I was kind of enjoying the whole situation. I wasn't feeling weird around Rhett, who was as friendly as always, and in a very good mood. I hadn't seen him like that in a long time. When the pancake mix was ready Rhett handed it to me to start baking. Then while I was focused at not dropping the bowl he poured the remained flour in my head.
