Perfect Harmony

-Everybody duck, he returned!

Link demanded and everyone hurried to respond. We didn't wanτ to be caught after all this perfect organizing.

-Is he inside the house or not?

John whispered.

-He just entered.

I said with my serious expression, I really didn't want to screw this up. Rhett had his birthday today and we decided to do a surprise party. Link came up with the idea and everyone agreed immediately. Jamie had planned something for the both of them and he was late. We had been waiting in our living room glancing at the McLaughlin's house for a long time before he showed up.

-Okay guys I think we are ready. I think Link should take the birthday cake, Maritina should go in and distract hid and the rest bring the pizzas and the presents. As long as everyone is in we jump into the room that Maritina and Rhett are and scream "Happy birthday". Nobody has wished him yet, hasn't he?

Cole said while he was getting up dragging Daniel with him. Nobody had. I got out and walked towards Rhett's house trying hard to stop smiling; I bit my bottom lip as hard as I could. He answered the door quickly looking me up and down with a sad look on his face.

-Hey

-Hi, can I come in?

-Sure.

I walked to his bedroom and sat on the bed.

-How is everything going?

-Fine, what about you?

-Pretty good. You weren't very talkative at school today, is something wrong?

-No, just th-

-HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHETT!

The guys entered shaking the room like a tornado with their loud voices and footsteps. Link was holding the cake and we started sing the 'happy birthday' song. Rhett's face lighted up and a goofy smile appeared. He really believed that we had forgotten his birthday. He closed his eyes and made a wish before blowing his candles. He hugged Link and said:

-You guys are the best, thank you so much.

He hugged everybody, who wished him the best leaving me for the end. I looked deep into his eyes when he walked right in front of me. He has gorgeous eyes, the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. Without saying a word he throws himself into me hiding his face on my neck and his hands found their way on my waist.

-Happy birthday.

I whispered and pet his hair. His buzzed haircut tickled my palm. He let go of my hug and pushed me gently towards his desk, where the pizza's where placed.

-I'm hungry.

-You are always hungry.

-Exactly.

He chuckled and handed me a piece. I bitted while looking at him who was devouring the second one already. I wish I could travel back in time and kissed him before Nicholas arrival, I'm sure if I had tasted his lips then nothing could pull me away from them. I sighed and looked away.

The next day as I was walking on the corridor heading outside thinking about what Jamie told me a few minutes before about Rhett. She was in love with him, it was so obvious. It was heartbreaking, hearing talk about their dates or the thing they do together. She likes me very much and I wish I could say the same. She is a good captain but I can't stand her lips on Rhett's, her hands on his body, the body I should kiss, hug and make shiver, the lips I should make trembling in my touch.
