Chapter 7

~Daniels POV~
I tell Joey goodbye and I slowly walk over to Sawyer. "What is it." I ask, quickly wanting to get back to Joey before he leaves. "Party tonight. Be there." Sawyer spat. "Why do I have too?" I ask, crossing my arms. "Because you're one of US, and no noob can change that." He smiled and smacked my back. I grunted and walked off, hoping not to miss my bus.

The party is in an hour. I put on new clothes and I do my hair. Who knows what Sawyer will do to me at the party. Now that he knows Joey and I are friends, God knows what will happen. Plus, going to these parties are pretty lonely, considering I only know Sawyer out of everyone who is usually at the party. Suddenly, an idea hit me. Something that will blow everyone away. Something that will make Sawyer look like a complete idiot. I take out my phone.

D- hey

I wait for a response. I hope he didn't throw away or even lose my number, as we did text for a while after school. I anxiously wait for his reply.

J- heyy!

Thank the Lord.

D- hey! I was thinking, do you want to come to a party with me tonight?

Oh god. Was that too soon? Was that too commanding?

J- um, sure?

What is that supposed to mean!?

D- if you don't want to its fine.

J-  no no it's fine!

D- you sure?

J- Yeah!

D- okay! I'll pick you up around 8?

J- sounds good! See you there!

He gives me his address and I click off my phone. SCORE! I hope he doesn't think this is a date, because it's really not. Just two friends going to a party. Besides, I doubt he would love someone like me.

Joey's house is also on our block, so I'll just walk over to get him, then we'll walk over to Sawyer's. I cant wait to see Sawyer's expression, and what he'll tell or do to me.

I look at the address on my phone, and back at the house number to double check. I walk up to the door and let out a breathe I didn't know I was holding. I knock on the door. No response. I knock again. The door opens. He peeks out from behind the door, then opens it fully. His face lights up. "Hi! Ready to go?" I ask him. "Yep!" He responds. He runs to grab his phone and walks out the door. "Sawyer's house is right down the block, so we'll just walk there." I say and he looks at me nervously. "Sawyer's house?" He says, nervously. I look into his beautiful green eyes. "Don't worry, he won't do anything to you as long as you stay near me." I say and I see him get more comfortable.

We finally arrive at the house. I let out a breathe. Here goes nothing. I walk up to the huge house, and Joey comes and stands next to me. I knock on the door. The door opens, and this time Sawyer opens the door. He looks straight at me and pulls me into a "bro hug" and he instantly notices my guest. He gives me a death stare. "What is he doing here?" He replies, angrily. "I brought him as a guest." I reply with a smile, looking at him. "No one invited him, so I'm oh-so sorry but your little 'guest' can't come" He gives a sad look, which makes me want to smack him across the face. Joey looks at me. "I'll leave, it's fine" He whispers to me. "I don't want to start drama." He states. He turns around and starts to walk. A bunch of anger grows up inside of me at Sawyer, who is laughing, and opens the door for me. "If he can't come, I won't be attending either." I state and turn around to catch up with Joey. "Wait!" Sawyer yells. I turn around. He sighs, angrily. "Fine! He can attend. But don't mess up anything, Graceffa." He growls, and I smile at Joey, who makes his way back. We walk into the party, getting dirty looks from people, but I could care less. As long as I have him next to me, I don't care what people think. I'm proving them that "nerds" and "Jocks" can be friends.

Sawyer gathers everyone in a circle on the floor. "This is the part where we all play Truth or Dare. I'm known as the 'Dare King', so watch out Graceffa" I laugh at him, giving him a little nudge and he giggles. I honestly wouldn't mind if this was a date. I could get lost in his beautiful green eyes and I can listen to his cute little laughs and giggles all day. They go around the circle, daring each other crazy things, and suddenly, it's my turn to be 'Truth or Dared', and Sawyer's doing my dare. Great. What could he possibly dare me too do? Last time he dared me to jump into the pool with no hesitation. Not much of a daring dare. "Truth or Dare." He asks me. I obviously know what he's gonna ask me for truth, so I pick the other choice. "Dare." I reply, straightening my back to make it look like I'm up for any challenge. He smiles evilly. "Lay it on me." I state, waiting for his dare. "I dare you to kiss Joey."
