Opposites Attract {Janiel}

Chapter 34

~Joey's POV~

Daniel uncovers my eyes and I gasp. "Puppies!!" I scream. There are puppies running around my toes, around the room, and everywhere basically. "Is this-?" "Yes." "Does this-?" "Yes." "Does this mean-" Yes" Daniel repeats as he smiles. "Oh my god! We're getting a puppy!!" I squeal and I hug Daniel as tight as I possibly can. "Thank you thank you thank you!!" I squeal and he laughs. "Well, let's go look, sha'll we?" He says as he opens the door to the kennels. I walk in and I see a bunch of puppies, barking and wagging their tails. I wish I could adopt them all and take them all back to our humble home. Joey and Daniel's Home for Mutts. Honestly I'm down.

I walk past them all to the room where we will be meeting certain puppies. I see all different types of dogs in all different types of kennels. There's a golden retriever on my right, in a big kennel, and a Yorkshire Terrier on my left, in a medium sized kennel. They look like they are just about to be adopted. After walking past the kennels, we arrive to the room. We walk in the door to see a blonde haired lady waiting with a group of different puppies. "Hi! You guys must be Joey and Daniel. I'm Janette, I'll be helping you find the perfect puppy for you two love birds today." She smiles, and i wonder how she figured we were dating, until i realized i was still squeezing onto his harm, leaning my head on his shoulder. "Yes we are! Nice to meet you, Janette." "Let's get started!"

Janette first brings out a baby Golden Labrador, whose tail is wagging furiously.  The tiny puppy pounces out of the crate and runs to Daniel, jumping on him and kissing him furiously. "Hey back off he's mine!" I say jokingly, and the puppy comes over and jumps on me, kissing me furiously. "This one is Daisy. She's 8 months old and the runt in the litter. She's nothing but love." Janette says as the puppy runs over to her. "Shall we bring out the next puppy?" "Sure!"

The next puppy to come out is a pit bull mix. It is a brownish-greyish color, with a while circle around its eye. The dog slowly makes his way to us, wagging its tail. "This one is Pablo. Here at the shelter, we are all about saving, rescuing, and nurturing dogs back to health. We rescued Pablo from a busy train track when he was to hurt to move. He nurtured him back to health, but he still had some problems with his left back leg, nothing too concerning. We have all the information on this clipboard" We take a look at the clipboard, and continue on with the next puppy.

After playing with tons of puppies, we are finally down to our last puppies. It's going to be so hard to choose between all these puppies, they all need caring homes and people to care for them, and they're all so sweet! The next puppy to come out is a little husky, who has one striking blue eye and one beautiful brown eye. The little puppy comes sprinting full speed at us, and jumps onto my lap first and furiously kisses me. "This is Wolf. There is honestly so much i can say about this puppy. He's so playful, loving, caring, and a lap dog for sure." The lady smiles. I can tell she has a close relationship with Wolf. I look next to me to see Daniel laughing hysterically, as Wolf hops all over him. "I think this is the one." I smile, as Daniel and I look at each other. "I think the same thing."

After filling out paper work, Janette walks out with Wolf on a leash, and Wolf bounces as he sees us. As Daniel talks to the desk lady about the puppy, i watch Janette play with Wolf for one last time. She looks up at me. "Sorry, you two must want to get going. I'm just gonna miss this little guy so much." She states, as she pets the hyper Wolf. "No, no you're fine. Take as much time as you need." i state as she plays with Wolf.

Once Janette finishes playing with Wolf, which wasn't very long, Daniel and I head out to the car with Wolf by our side.
