Chapter 40

~Daniel POV~

I fix my hair into a perfect swoop. I adjust my blazer and I dust off all the dog hair on my pants. "Ready to go Daniel?" Joey calls from downstairs. "Almost ready!" I reply, and I quickly put my shoes on and rush down the stairs. I realize I left my wallet and phone upstairs so I run bck up. "Daniel hurry we are going to be late!!" Joey calls again. "Okay hold up pig!" I grab my pone and wallet and I run quickly down the steps. "Why are you in a rush? We have fifteen minutes!" Joey states. I stare at him. "But you said-" I say and he smiles and starts to giggle. "You bitch." I reply and he laughs. He pulls me in for a kiss and we walk out the door.

We hop in the car, me taking the driver's seat while Joey takes the passenger's seat. At the same time, I reach for the Britney Spears CD while Joey reaches for the Lana Del Ray CD. "Oh hell no. No shade on Lana but Britney deserves this more than Lana." I sass and Joey gasps. "Don't you dare! We are listening to Lana and that's that-" I cut him off by placing the Britney CD in while turning it up on full volume. He goes to take it out and I smack his hand. "Nice try." I yell over the music. "Toxic" is the first one to play and I start singling along with the windows down. Joey tries to keep a straight face but he couldn't help it. He laughs and sings along with me.

We finally arrive, and I quickly turn down the music to concentrate on finding a parking spot. Once I find one, I park and I unbuckle my seat belt. "Ready babe?" I ask Joey and he nods. I hop out of my car and I walk over to his door, opening it. I hold out my hand and he grabs it and steps out of the car. He places a kiss on my cheek and smiles. "Love you babe" He smiles and I blush. "Love you more." I smile and I kiss his soft, luscious lips. "Hey love birds!" I hear a voice call from across the parking lot. We quickly pull away and I see Troye, Connor, Tyler, and Korey. They are all laughing and I can see Korey pulling Tyler and laughing. "I told you not to interrupt them!" Korey states and Tyler laughs. "I had to!" I hear Tyler reply while Korey is giggling. "Of course you did." Korey laughs. Joey and I smile, hands still joined, and we walk over to them. "Hey guys! Long time no see!" Joey states. "Wow we haven't seen each other since what, high school? Damn what happened?" Connor states and we all  let out a laugh. "Shall we go inside and get a seat?" Korey recommends and we all nod. We walk inside and the waitress seats us at our table. We sit at a circular table and we look at the menus. "Damn this place is fancy, too fancy for me." Tyler laughs. "Are there any chicken nuggets on this menu?" Tyler states and we all laugh. "Only Tyler." Joey giggles.

After taking a couple minutes looking at the menu and ordering, we all hand the menus to the waitress and she zooms off. "So, how have you all been? Give me the details." Troye smiles. "Well Joey and I are buying a house soon together! We live in my old apartment currently." I smile and I put my arm around him. "Same with us! We just have to get our paperwork accepted to move in." Connor states. "Congrats to you both!" Tyler states. You can obviously tell he's hiding something. "Tyler do you have something to share? How are you guys?" Joey states, also noticing Tyler in anxious. He looks at Korey and Korey nods. "Korey and I are getting married!" He squeals and Troye spits out his drink. "Oh my god Tyler congrats!!!" We all yell at him and he shushs us and laughs. "You're gonna get us kicked out!" He giggles. "He proposed to me the other day while we were out having a fancy dinner." Tyler smiles and leans his head on Korey's chest. "Holy shit you two are too damn cute" I state and the both look at each other, place kiss on each other's cheeks, and smile. "We are sending out invitations soon, so check your mail regularly!" Tyler states. "Will do!" We all take a sip of our drinks and wait hungrily for our food. "Oh my god Joey how did you not tell us about your puppy! Wolf, is it? He's too damn cute!" Tyler mentions out of  no where. "I totally blanked out after you said you two were getting married!" Joey states. "How'd you guys find out?" I ask. "We do our daily stalkings in your window and we saw a dog!" Connor states. "Kidding! We saw it on Joey's YouTube channel! The costume video was adorable!" "Right!?" We both say at the same time and laugh. Our food finally arrives and we quickly begin to eat.

After eating, we pay the bill and we all walk outside. "That was so much fun! We all have to get together again soon. Like a game night or something!" Troye states and we all nod and murmur in agreement. "Definitely!" Joey agrees. "Welp, see you at Tyler and Korey's wedding!" Connor smiles and Korey and Tyler blush. We all laugh and walk off to our cars. I hop into the drivers seat while Joey takes passenger. "I am stuffed." Joey states. I smile. I can tell he's tired. "Me too. That was loads of fun." I stae and I put the keys into the ignition and I back up the car. As I start driving, Joey seems awfully quiet, so I look over at him and he's sleeping. God damnit he's so cute when he sleeps. I smile and continue driving.

We arrive home and Joey is still asleep. This is my time to get him back for the water incident. I look in the backseat of my car for a water bottle. None. Damnit. I suddenly get an idea. I place the Britney Spears CD back in. I look at Joey, who is sound asleep. I suddenly turn it up to full volume quickly and he jerks awake. He looks at me. "What the f-" He begins but I cut him off. "Karma's a bitch." I state, laughing, and I quickly turn off the car, grab the keys, and run out of the car. I can hear Joey quickly following me, and I sprint inside, leaving the door open for him. Wolf is barking and jumping on me. "Run Wolfie! He's coming! He's gonna kill daddy!" I yell at Wolf and I run to the couch and I hide behind it. "Daniel where the hell are you!?" Joey yells and I try not to laugh. Once the coast in clear I make my way outside, and I look around. No one. "Karma's a bitch." I hear a voice mimic me, and I suddenly fall into the freezing pool. I quickly swim up and I look. It's Joey, smirking and laughing. "JOEY!" I scream.
