~Daniel's POV~

I walk into the school, and I head to my locker. I can't forget about what happened last night. I felt something, and that something felt right. It felt like we were like this forever. It felt like something I haven't felt all in my life. No matter how many boys and girls I kissed, this one was way different, and a good different.

I stumble across my locker and enter my combination. I pack all my heavy books into my locker, and I take out the books I need for my first period class. I pray to God that Sawyer isn't behind me, and I hesitantly turn around, surprised to see no one standing behind me. I walk down the hall when I see Joey at his locker, checking his hair and making sure he has all of his books. I walk up to him. "Hey" I say and he jumps a little and turns toward me. He let out a "phew" and smiles. "You scared me. I thought Sawyer was with you or something." He smiles cutely. The smile that keeps me smiling. I smile back. "What's your first period?" I ask him. "Math" He replies with groan and I smile. "What? Need doesn't like math?" I laugh and he smiles. "My homeroom happens to be in the same hall as your math class." "Are you trying to tell me something?" He cutely smiles "I'll be your escort to math class" I laugh and he smiles. "Okay!"

We walk down the hall, talking about loads of different things like clothes, movies, tv shows. It's amazing how much we could talk about while just simply walking through a high school hallway. He looks into his math class and groans. "I'll see you later." He smiles and walks off into class. I smile at his cute little walk and smile, and head into my homeroom.

I walk into the classroom and sigh. I forgot Sawyer existed, because of how unusually quiet it was in the hallways. I sit on the opposite side of the room from him, and quietly open my heavy books to the page listed on the board. I look down at my fingers and tap my pencil, Joey still on my mind. I kinda want to ask him out, but knowing me, there's no way he would fall for a jock like me. There's no way he would date one of Sawyer's "friends." No way in hell would he date me. I quickly realize how much I've sunk into my seat and how class has already started. I stabilize myself and quickly realize Sawyer and a couple of his friends moved near me while I spaced out. I avoid eye contact and I continue paying attention.

At the end of class, our teacher gave us time to talk with each other, and of course l, I was stuck with these stuck-up losers. I can't believe I did all those stupid things just to impress Sawyer. I can't believe I actually tried to be like him, or even beat him. "Thinking about Graceffa" Sawyer snaps me out of my thoughts. I groan and just ignore him. "We all know you enjoyed it Preda" He snarls and laughs. I ignore him once more. "Why would you fall for a pathetic, no good, nerd like that asshole?" I finally loose my patience to this shithead. "Just shut up about Joey and his friends, they are actually really nice guys and if you gave them a chance you would know." I snarl back at him, hoping the bell rings. "Ooooo Daniel Preda is feisty." He laughs and the bell rings and I storm out of the room, bumping into Joey, who was waiting for me at the door. He let out an oomph. "Oh my god I'm sorry!" I apologizes and he nods. "It's fine" he smiles, and we walk off to our lockers.
