~Joey POV~

It's Christmas Eve! I'm so exciting to give Daniel all the gifts I got him. This is our first Christmas together as a couple and I want it to be memorable. We've been dating for quite a while now, I'm surprised this isn't our fifth Christmas. It feels like we've been together for all my life.  He's so sweet and loving, and if anything ever happens to us I don't know what I'll do or how I'll live, actually. I gather the couple of items that I hadn't wrapped yet and I put them in a pile next to me. I roll out the wrapping paper and I place the first gift in the center.

After quite some time, I finish wrapping, and I hide all the presents under the bed in the guest room. He hardly goes into there so I should be fine. I gently and quickly place all the gifts under the bed. Once finished, I quickly get up, walk out, and I shut the door. I check the time. Holy shit it's already 10:00 pm! I suddenly hear Daniel call from the stairs. "You coming to bed, Joey?" He yells. "One second babe!" I yell back. "Alright, don't forget Wolf!" Daniel replies. I can hear the tiredness in his voice. I'm not really tired, but I can't pass the chance to cuddle with Daniel. "Wolf come on! Bed time!" I call Wolf as he comes running over, tail wagging. I walk up the stairs with two glasses of water, this time for actual drinking purposes, while Wolf struggles and trails behind, his little paws pushing up the steps. I quietly open the door to see Daniel already fast asleep. I smile at how cute he is and I place one glass of water on his stand. Wolf begins to jump on the bed and prance around Daniel and I quickly grab him. Daniel adjusts his position and continues sleeping. "Shhhh! Daddy is sleeping!" I whisper to Wolf. His tail thuds on the bed and I place him back on the bed. He curls up in between Daniel and I and starts to fall asleep. I begin to fall asleep when a feel an arm on my back. I turn around and I see Daniel, fast asleep, his hand on my shoulder. I smile and I head to sleep.

I wake up to the smell of eggs and waffles cooking. "It's Christmas! Merry Christmas Wolf!" I say, happily, Wolf jolting awake at his name. I bounce out of my bed and run down the steps like a little kid. "Danny it's Christmas!" I squeal and he turns around, laughing. He places his spatula down and walks over to me. "Merry Christmas babe!" He smiles, as we lock lips. Wolf begins to bark and we laugh, looking down at him. "Little baby is excited for Christmas! And so is Wolf!" Daniel laughs and I laugh along. "Let me just finish cooking and we'll open presents." Daniel states, returning to his cooking. I realize I forgot to put his presents out, so I walk into the guest room, grab the gifts, and I put them under our tree. Daniel places all of his food on a plate and walks over to the couch where I sat. "Ready?" I ask and he nods, smiling. "Here's my first present for you!" I say as I hand him my gift. "And here's mine for you!" He replies, handing me a gift in exchange.

After opening tons of presents, we are down to our last gift. "Last, but not least." He states as we exchange our last gifts. The present in a small little box, sort of what they kept jewelry in. "You first." I tell Daniel and he opens his gift. "Oh my god it's.... your book!" Daniel laughs. "Signed copy too." I reply, giggling. He laughs and hugs me. "I saved the best for last." Daniel tells me as he gestures me to the small box I held in my hand. I unwrap the tiny box and I open it to find a ring. I gasp. "A promise ring." He smiles, placing one of my finger and one on his. "To show how much I love you and how one day I hope that these rings will soon be wedding rings. I love you, babe." Daniel smiles and I begin to tear up. "It's so beautiful, Daniel. I love you so much." I say and I place a kiss on his soft lips and I hug him. I want this to last forever. I want to be with Daniel forever. He makes me so happy an helps me see the true light in everything. I  want to spend my entire life with Daniel.
