Chapter 38

~Daniel POV~

I can hear Joey upstairs, laughing and squealing, recording a video with Wolf and his costumes. I giggle at his reactions and I begin to write a note.

Dear Pig,

Went to go shopping! I'll be back soon! Love you <3

I place the note on the counter. I quietly close the door so i don't interrupt joeys video and i head out to my car. I put the keys in the ignition and I start playing Britney Spears. Christmas is coming up soon and I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet,, yikes.

I arrive at the mall. I park my car in the nearest parking lot and hop out, making sure to lock my car. As I walk into the mall I see it's a bit crowded, but it's Christmas time so why wouldn't  it be crowded? I walk around a little and i plan my shopping. As i take a little stroll around the place one shop immediately screams "JOEY". It's a crystal shop. I decide to go in there first. There is an endless selection of crystals. I take a look at the amethysts first, because i know he loves those.

After a decent amount of time searching for crystals, I find some i think he'll really like. I picked out a couple amethysts, a couple of rose quartz, some iridescent ones, and a variety of more. As i purchase the crystals i start to look for other shops.  I enter this one clothes store that Joey LOVES to shop in. I see him online shopping on this website all the time. When i walk in, I see a familiar face. "Daniel!" the familiar voice greets. "Connor!" I say as he turns in my direction. "How are you? We rarely spoken or seen each other since graduation!" I say. "I know right! What brings you here?" Connor asks. "I'm actually shopping for Joey for Christmas. What about you?" "I'm shopping for Troye! He looooves this place." He smiles. "So does Joey! I swear they shop together half the time" I laugh. "I wouldn't be surprised!" Connor replies laughing. "Daniel? Connor?" We hear another familiar voice. "Tyler!" Connor smiles as Tyler approaches us. "Damn this is so weird. How did we all end up here?" Tyler laughs. "Must be destiny!" We all laugh. "Let me guess, you're here because you're shopping for Korey?" "Is it obvious?" Tyler laughs. "We are here shopping for our boyfriends too!" I state. "We all really need to get together sometime. We haven't talked in aaggesss!" Tyler states. "We do! Does  this Saturday work?" Connor asks. "Yep! Works for me!" I reply. "Same here" Tyler replies. "Alrighty, will do! I should continue shopping. See you Saturday!" Connor states as he continues shopping.

After hours of shopping i finally got most of the things i wanted to get for Joey. I got him the crystals, a nice blazer. some beautiful tops and some nice pants, a variety of suits, his own book, because he said that's his "top of the list gift", a robe, and, most importantly, a promise ring.

I begin to drive home and my phone begins to ring. I answer the phone and put it in speaker, so i don't get distracted.

D: Hey babe! what's up?
J: Hi! just wondering if your gonna be home soon! I need a good cuddle

I smile.

D: yep! Almost home!
J: yay!
D: Oh btw, close your eyes when i get home!
J: Okay, why?
D: surprise
J: um okay

I hear him giggle through the phone

J: okay ill let you drive peacefully. Love you!
D: Love you too!
