Chapter 30

~Joey's POV~

I wake up with a pounding headache from the night before. Prom really was truly amazing, the best night of my life, spending prom with the man I love most. I slowly get up and head to the bathroom while Daniel lays sound asleep. I fix my messy hair and I wash my face. After that, I head downstairs to make Danny some breakfast. I get the pancake batter out and all the ingredients I need to make pancakes. I haven't really made pancakes before, but I've tons of people do it and it looks fairly simple. I put all the ingredients in a bowl and I start mixing. Ok it's actually not so hard, but I should get a better mixing tool. While, mixing I turn around and grab the electric mixer, and I turn around, knocking the batter to its side nd it begins to pour out all of my counter. I quickly stop, and I try to clean it up. And to think I was doing so good. I still have some batter left, so I just continue to mix the remains. Once I'm done mixing, I walk carefully to the oven and I pour the mix into the pan. After a few minutes of waiting for the bottom to make it to a light brown, I decide to flip it. The other pancake I decide to get fancy with and flip it a little higher, maybe too high, as I got stuck to the ceiling. I sigh and just continue with the one pancake.

I hear a door close from upstairs. Danny's awake! I place the single pancake on the table with a knife and fork and some juice. He walks down the stairs and looks at the huge mess I made in the kitchen. "What the hell went on down here" He laughs. " I tried to cook my boyfriend pancakes." I reply, cutely. "I can tell." He laughs and looks at the one pancake. "Only one?" "The others kind of-" I was interrupted by the pancake that got stuck on the ceiling, as it fell right on top of me. Daniel starts hysterically laughing. "Failed." I finished my sentence, laughing. "Want a kiss?" I ask through the batter. "No thank you. He laughs. I fake whine. "Why not Danny?" I laugh. I kiss him on the cheek and the batter wipes on him. "Ew! Sick!" Daniel laughs, as he wipes the batter off his cheek and flings it at me.

After our pancake war, we finally settle down to watch some Netflix. He puts his arm around me, and I lay on his chest, listening to his soothing heartbeat. I look up at him, the light from the show lighting up his beautiful face. I smile, and put my head back on his chest. He kisses me on the top of my head, and I look back up at him. "What no kiss on the lips?" I ask, and he smiles. He places his soft lips on top of mine.

I suddenly feel a small tap on my shoulder. "joey, time to wake up! I made a reservation to go out for dinner!" I here a familiar voice say in a soothing voice. I open my eyes to find Daniel, and we are on the couch. I must've feel asleep during the show. I slowly wake up, and Daniel kisses me on the cheek. "Hello Sleepy Head." He giggles, and kisses me again. I kiss him on the cheek and I walk to the bathroom to freshen up before I go out to dinner. Once I finish freshening up, I walk out of the bathroom. "You look handsome, darling" Daniel smiles, and he grabs my hand. "Not as handsome as you." I smile. "You classic pig." Daniel laughs, and we kiss.

We finally arrive at the restaurant and I hop out of the car. It's beautiful! It has a little waterfall in the front, and a little garden on the side. Little torches are lighting the pathway to the entrance. "This is beautiful!" I say to Daniel as he smiles. We link hands and walk into the fancy restaurant.

We are seated and the waitress gives us the menu. "What would you two like to drink?" "We'll take two waters please" Daniel replies, and the waitress nods and walks away. I look around at the beautiful decorations, then to my beautiful man. "This restaurant is so beautiful Daniel." I say to the cute brown haired boy. "Not as beautiful as me." He jokes, and pretends to flip his hair as I laugh. "You're adorable." I laugh.
