Chapter 4

~Joey's POV~

I put on a sweatshirt on and some jeans. I grab my phone and I wait in my driveway for Connor, Troye, and Tyler. They pull in and I hop in the car, buckling up. "Really Joey." Troye laughs. "What?" I smile, looking at my outfit. "You're wearing that to a fancy restaurant?" He laughs, and I look at everyone's outfits. They are all dress up in either suit and ties or blazers. "Shit I thought we were going to Taco Bell or something!" I said and they all laughed. We continued driving, listening to Panic! At the Disco.

We arrive, and I feel so under dressed. They all laugh again at my outfit and I laugh, and we walk in. "Hi! I'm Abigail! Do you guys have a reservation?" She asks, looking at Tyler, and only Tyler. "Yes, 7:00 reservation under Oakley." He states. She nods and walks right next to Tyler to show us to our table. She places Tyler's menu down first, and gently, then slaps our menus on the table. "I'll give you guys a few minutes to check the menus and see what you'd like!" She smiles and walks off. We all stare at Tyler. "What?" He asks. "Are you blind?" I laugh. "That girl totally likes you!" Connor laughs. "But I'm gay." He states. "Well she apparently doesn't know that!" Troye laughs. "She could just treat me speial cause I'm the host of this party" He laughs and we all laugh. "Yeah right. She totally wants you." I smile, and we all look at the menu.

After we eat our meal, we just sit and chat for a while. "Excuse me" I say, and I walk tot he bathroom. On my way to the bathroom, I spot a familiar face. Sawyer. Shit. Behind him, I see his crew, and among those faces, Daniel. I look down and quickly walk back to my table. I quickly sit down and they all stare at me. "What's wrong?" Connor asks. "Shithead and Angelface found their way here." I say beckoning them to look behind me. They look and a surprise look appears on their face. Tyler giggles and looks at me. "AngelFace?" he laughs. I blush. "Yeah." They all smile. "As long as he's here, I know we'll be okay." I smile and continue eating. They all stare at me. "Like Daniel would save us in front of Sawyer." Troye states. "You never know. He might go to extreme measures for Joey." Tyler giggles and I gently push him and smile, and we continue eating.

After a while, Troye looks up and stares. "What's wrong?" I ask. "AngelFace is either making his way over to the bathroom, or to us." He states. Shit. He can't see me like this. Suddenly I feel a touch on my shoulder. I turn around and I see Daniel. "Hi" He smiles. He all wave. "Is it okay if I sit next to you guys? I'm sick of the idiots over there and I need a breath of fresh air." He states. I look at the guys and they all just stare at each other. Tyler moves over a seat and points to the chair next to me. "Sure! Right here!" I stare at Tyler, and he giggles. Everyone starts quietly giggling, while I'm blushing like an idiot. "Thank you for helping us earlier." Connor says. "No problem. To be honest, I was sick of Sawyer hurting innocent people, so I had to do what was right." He states, and takes a sip of his water. Wow. How was he even considered a part of Sawyer's crew when he's the opposite of Sawyer? Sawyer is a nasty, ungrateful, and evil, and Daniel is pure, sweet, and harmless. "Why do you like hanging out with Sawyer?" Troye randomly asks. "Too be honest, I don't. But I don't want to be beat up either, ya know? And if I'm part of his crew, I get ot save people without him stopping me. I'm so used to being the cool guy in my old schools. The one every guy wishes to be, but to be honest, I'm sick of it. I look reading books and studying, but whenever I wanna be friends with a people like you guys they all are scared of me." He states. We all look at him. "If you ever need an escape place, you can 'steal our lunch money' anytime." I laugh and everyone else laughs. "Thank you. I should probably get going, they're going to start searching. Have a good night!" He states and walks off. "He's so sweet!" Troye points out. "I don't know how Sawyer even let him in his group!" Tyler states. "We should invite him to hang with us one time, he seems pretty upset with the current 'friends' he has now." Connor states and we all nod. "I just can't believe my crush had to see me like this." I look down at my nasty clothes. Everyone laughs and we start to head home.
