Dear Ex-Boyfriend,
To be honest, our relationship wasn't much. I will seriously tell you that right now. We were in elementary school, for freaking sake. I'm not sure if it was even a "relationship." It was more of you like me, I like you, okay we're "dating" kind of things. There were no dates or physical contact, because we were... How old were we? I don't remember. It was a long time ago.
Truthfully though, I was happy. Sure, you were messy and broke things easily, which infuriated me to no end, but it was enjoyable. New experiences are usually enjoyable.
It was a bit awkward when your mom asked me if I was your girlfriend though. You weren't even there. I was literally standing at the park with my friends when she asked me. Then again, she was probably just teasing, since we were so young.
I have super bad memory, so I can't really remember much about our "dating" period, but there are some things that stuck on even now. I might sound a little bit creepy, so don't mind me.
1. I still remember the date you "asked" me out. It was through an email. I kept it for a few years, but I finally moved on and deleted it last year. November 3rd was a really bright day for me. Thank you.
2. You still owe me $3.25. Do not deny it; you never gave me back the money. I don't really care as much anymore, but I still remember.
3. I loved the way you smelled. A lot of guys used Axe or nothing at all, so they stunk either way, but you had this amazing smell to you. It wasn't too fragrant or anything; it was just you. I really liked it- I still do. I'm a person who judges based on my senses, so sense of smell was basically a big one for me.
Although we "broke" up a few months later, in which I completely threw an angry fit and was very upset, I look back at it now and laugh. I mean, we were just children, what was I thinking?
All in all, thank you for giving me those experiences. You were somewhat of my first love.
Thank you,
Charlotte
