They made their way inside their room. Miles sat on the edge of the bed. She's looking at the carpeted floor.

"Babe, tell me what's wrong." Keith said when he can no longer take the silence. He was standing near the door.

"Nothing is wrong." Miles said and looked straight in his eyes.

"C'mon, tell me the truth." he walked towards her.

She smiled bitterly, “Tell you the truth? How can I tell you the truth if I don’t even know what is the truth?”

He stopped in mid-tracks. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again when he didn’t find any words to say.

“Cat got your tongue, Keith Alec Mondragon?” she said sarcastically.

“Mi—”

“I wonder how long you are gonna keep the truth from me.” She smiled bitterly and it hurts Keith like hell.

“Don’t talk like that, babe.” He pleaded.

“If you just informed me about that fvcking truth!” she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. “If you just informed me, I won’t be acting like this, BABE.”

Parang tumaas ang mga balahibo ni Keith dahil sa sarkasmo na ginamit ng asawa. He took a step towards her but she stood up.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m gonna repack our things, BABE. That’s what a WIFE SHOULD DO, right? BABE?” she smiled, a sly one.

He took a sharp breath when she walked passed him.

“Alice, what the hell is wrong in trying?”

“TRYING?!”

“Don’t overreact, ano ba. We’ll get through this. Gusto ko lang talagang makuha itong deal na 'to, so, don’t think na nalulugi na ang company or something.”

“Mrs. Mondragon?” napalingon silang dalawa sa babaeng tumawag sa kanila. “Sir Fred is already waiting inside.”

"Thank you, miss." smiled Krista before turning to Alice once more. "Alice, there's no turning back now. Let's go!"
