Brian's POV

Matthew. He is so going to kill me. After all, I did mislead him for three years straight. We've been through so much together but now, my final task is to kill him. But I must admit, I am looking forward to seeing him fight at full strength. It would be a sight worth seeing. Except for the fact that I'm probably going to lose, seeing as I have one good arm, a sword that I can't use, and a shield that won't protect me from a flood. Same with Andy. I need a rest, but the idea is impossible since Alicia, Andy, and Matthew are chasing after me. Sheesh.

***

I hear a loud Crack! and wake up. Yikes. They're on my tail again. Don't they ever give up?

I really should get going. I get up and untangle myself from my cloak. Bad habit of mine. Fun fact, when I sleep, I pretty much strangle myself with the blanket, or a cloak. Anyways, I get up and reach for my sword, with my left hand, and sheathe it. It's still useless, but if I can somehow set up a trap, it might work. I pull out my shield and put it on. In a forest like this, a shield is useful. I trudge through the woods. On the way, I get bit by pretty every bug before I think to send out a small electric current through my body to zap any bugs. Every once and a while, I hear a quiet hiss that tells me my trap is working. At least with this, I won't charge into battle covered in bug bites. Wait. I sense a presence near by. Curses, I didn't have time to set up my trap. I run for the nearest level area.

"Wait!" he yells.

I look back while running. I knew it. It's definitely him. I have to make it to the area, or I'm dead.

Matthew's POV

Brian. I am going to freak'n kill him, crush him, tear him apart, and if there is anything left, I'll give it to Andrew so he can do what he wants. Wow. That felt good. But still, I could never kill him with my own hands. Have his blood covering my hand like a glove. Knowing that another team member fell at my hands. Not again. Of course, both of them weren't really team members since they both betrayed the team. And Isabelle. Brian never told me about her. Then again, he never told me much about anything Much less his plan of betrayal. Wait, I can sense a slight buzz of electricity. It could be Luke or Will, but still. I better check.

***

I knew it. Brian. I can sense his powers. Weak but definitely there. Now he's running.

"Wait!" I yell.

He turns back for a moment. I see a bloody bandage on his upper right arm. So. He did block his own spear to protect Isabelle. Wouldn't have expected that from Brian. Him being so coldhearted and such. The world is full of surprises. I chase after him.

When we reach a clearing, Brian turns around to look at me. Surprise! His irises are black. The change is barely noticeable.

"What do you think you're doing?" I ask.

"Following a path that I must take!" he yells as he charges toward me. As he runs, confetti flies off his shoulders creating a confetti cloud. I leap over his head and land right behind him. He jumps away. When I start to charge, the confetti explodes. I get launched and hit a tree.

"I should get accuracy points." I mutter as I limp away. I create a sword out of water and stumble out of the dust cloud.
