Yes you're reading this right... And so.. After over a year, the story continues. Truly when a story is placed in our hearts it never truly ends, does it? Enjoy.Nine months, 2 weeks and 3 days. Thats how long ago my ex instructor proposed to me. Now, one week exactly until the big day. One week to get my dress, the cake, the hall and set up everything. These are the thoughts that rack my brain as the sun rises, slicing it's way in between the half closed shutters. The golden light glosses over Tobias' features, defining every curve and perfection.
Though he's asleep, I love watching him in the early hours. This is the time he seems most at peace. Even when it's just us, he's up tight. He's holding something back from me and I hope to god he tells me before the wedding. We began knowing one another because we both had our secrets to hide. Going into marriage, I want a clean sleight. I just want him to be happy. Even if that meant in the end, not being with me.
Carefully I lean over to my future husband. The coldness of the bedsheets, where there hasn't been any body heat, sends shivers through my body. Tempting myself to simply cuddle myself into every nook and cranny of him. That's my favourite feeling in life, feeling safe with him. Resisting the temptation, I lean down and kiss Tobias' temple gingerly then push myself off the edge of the bed. From the corner of my eye, I notice Tobias' small smile as he cuddles more into the pillow he's gripping like a small boy.
Tobias's sweater wraps around me nicely as I shuffle my way into the kitchen, wrapping loose ends of my hair into a messy bun I begin to make breakfast for him. Christina has put me on a diet of missing breakfast and half of lunch so I can fit into more dresses. Although I already have a small frame she's picked select foods to keep me healthy enough and such. Although what Christina doesn't know, wont hurt her. I carefully sneak to the cupboard and find a caramel bar on the very top shelf. You know, just cause a person is short, doesn't mean they don't know how to stand on a chair.
Grabbing the chair by the top of the handle, I quickly climb onto it and then reach up to get the bar. "Another reason why having a tall fiancé is a good idea." Tobias' soft voice behind be sounds like an explosion in what was originally a quiet room. "Damn it!" I jump then laugh softly. "I wanted you to sleep in today." I grumble softly. Tobias strides across the room quickly and grabs the caramel bar without even going on his tip toes. "Damn you. Why do you have to be so tall?" I sigh.
Tobias wraps his arm around my waist and gently helps me off the chair. "The real question is 'why do you have to be so short?'" He smirks like the trouble maker he is. I shake my head and stomp my foot teasingly. "I'm not that short!" I laugh softly. "Alright seriously, didn't Christina say you were supposed to stay away from this junk?" Tobias waves the bar in front of my face in a very parental manner while smiling teasingly "Well she also originally told me to stay away from you.." I pull the stings of his pants towards me since, of course, he isn't wearing a shirt. Slowly, we both lean in and share our first kiss of many to come today.
Very carefully, Tobias picks me up and begins bringing me back to the bedroom as we kiss. I moan gently as I pull away. "Tobias, I have... to get ready." I mumble reluctantly.
"I'm helping.." He mumbles out in breaths. Gently laying me back on the bed, he climbs over me. Our weight shifting the mattress underneath us. "You have to... Get.. Your clothes off.. Right?" He breaths out. I can feel his smile against my lips that are reluctant to pull up. By now I can tell his cologne from the day before is all over me. Christina is gonna smell it and she's gonna give me hell.
She's been wanting us to separate just a tad, that way we can get things done for the wedding and not be distracted. Plus the night before the wedding we'll be sleeping at different houses. I hate the idea and so does Tobias but, Christina knows what she's doing, after all she did single handily plan her and Will's wedding.
"Okay okay." I deepen our kiss if that's possible, for a minute longer. I can fee Tobias' grip tighten just slightly on me. He knows this is what I do when I'm reluctant to go. And he doesn't want me to go either. I slow down kissing him until it's only him doing the work. "Don't go." He whispers as he finally gives in, his head resting in the crook of my neck.
"I'll be back later. I promise." I smile sadly and kiss his cheek then flip us like how j was taught in training. Getting up, I hurry to the bathroom to get ready.
Walking out of the apartment after saying goodbye to Tobias, I head over to Christina's place. She isn't that far but she makes me come prepared. I have a few of my mother's wedding trinkets with me that I'd like to have in my wedding. I managed to get a few from her when I finally told her I was getting married.
She was beyond thrilled, I'd never seen her so energetic before... It was strange to say the least. In a long dark hallway, I hear the clicking of my heels on the stone floor. The one thing that sucks about living in dauntless is that, when there's joyful moments around the corner, the place always stays the same dark and cold environment. It's sometimes a mood ruiner. I sigh and stop at the corner of the hall before I turn to Christina's hall.
"Screw you I'm trying to help her! She's my best friend!"
Christina's voice for sure.
"I don't care! We never find anymore time for us! Damn it I miss you Chris."
But.. That's not Will's voice...
