Relocation
Jack
I knew I needed to relocate
and soon. The cops
would be swarming this
place and they’d find me faster
than anything. I
desperately needed to relocate
but where?
Maybe somewhere way
out to the
west.
California sounds nice around
this time of year.
Maybe I can make it there
by either
hitchhiking or by
train, maybe.
I hope I can make it there somehow,
anyway.
Is
Ace safe
wherever she is?
I hope she’s safer than
I am, and I pray to you, God,
that she stays out of trouble with the law.
Right now,
I’m on my way to
the nearest
truck stop.
Maybe
I can find someone
to give me
a ride to the next city
over.
I don’t care what I have
to do.
I just need to get
out of this place so that
I never get
jail.
