The first two weeks of school passed without incident. If you don't include the death stares Owen received from both Ashton and Calum, and the death stares Corrine shot Amelia whenever she neared her and her brother. Other than that, everything ran quite smoothly for them. Within the second week, football tryouts had been posted, giving Owen something to look forward to. Corrine assured him that he would make the team, however he was warned by the girls to watch out for the boys. They apparently could get a little aggressive on the field. All except for Michael who was too lazy to play an actual sport, and just stuck to Fifa.

With school back in full swing, Corrine found herself back into her normal routine of managing her schoolwork and working her shift at a local Starbucks. Any money she made from her job went into books and college, although Andrea and David were more than willing to pay for their daughter's education. But Corrine was stubborn. So they compromised. They'd help for the first two years, and the Corrine would go on her own. If she needed the help though, her parents said they were more than willing to help her out. Andrea and David wanted to make sure that she got the education she needed to do what she wanted in life. The two parents also assured Owen that the same would apply to him.

Corrine's work, was about five, ten minutes from when Owen had practiced, so she normally would be the one picking him up. But that task would now fall to her parents due to school being back in motion, and her working later than his practices.

She stood behind the counter during her break, scrolling through her phone, like every basic white girl ( except Corrine wasn't like the other girls she knew. No, they were all too blonde and rude for her liking ). Today was payday, and she made a mental note to go pick up some new books from her favourite store.

"Hey, Cory." Corrine looked up to find her co-worker, Niall. He was a English lad, with blonde hair, and was one of Corrine's favourite people. Today he wore a plain black tee, and some khaki's, paired with some regular sneakers.

"Yeah?"

"I know it's your break, but there's a new shipment just in, and the intern doesn't know how to put everything away yet. Can you handle my booth? Just until I get back?" Niall asked her, pleadingly. Corrine smiled.

"Yeah, okay. But you owe me mister." she said, pointing a finger at him with a laugh.

"Thanks Cory." Niall said, lightly kissing her cheek. Corrine rolled her eyes. Such an action would normally bother Corrine, as it would make her uncomfortable, but considering she liked Niall enough, she let it slide.

"No problem!" she called after him.

Since no one was really ordering, Corrine made her way to the fridge behind the counter and pulled out a bottle of Black Mango Iced Tea, and opened it before taking a sip. Corrine really wasn't big on their coffee, but she was  a big fan of tea. Corrine was scrolling through her phone once more when out of the corner of her eye, she noticed someone walk up to the register. She set her phone back into her pocket, and made her way over to the counter. Without looking at who was standing there, she spoke. "Hello, what can I get you for today?"

"Can I get a Caramel Macchiato." said an all too familiar voice. Corrine let out a quiet laugh. "What?" Corrine playful expression faded as she looked up to find Luke standing there with a confused expression on his face.

"Nothing. I just didn't peg you as a Macchiato kind of guy." she mumbled, quietly. Luke frowned.

"What's that supposed to mean?" he snapped.
